Mr. Fishhunter – first off years ago we never would have thought to do that kind of thing (fishing in someone elses spot). But if you were that stupid you could expect an ice chipper up along side your head. Second, if a guy got shnooked like that, he sure wouldn’t broadcast the news.
There will always be someone that has to be a jack..s. Don’t start trouble in front of the ladies, but next time you better set the guy straight. I haven’t seen your shack, but I hope that River Dog guy wasn’t right. If he is you should repaint. It may be making you a target.

    River Dawg,

You may be right, but what can we do. Sure there is plenty of good fishing up river from the old high bridge, some of the older gents, long gone now, used to live on those island in the summer. Caught plenty of fish there too. I guess times are a changing and we do too. There are just as many great spots down South. I’ll show you what I mean if you care to join me on the ice. I hope the DNR don’t keep move’n downstream, well I’ll probably be dead by then anyway. Let’s try to stay positive and remember why we’re out there. TOO CATCH FISH.

Got this new computor for Christmas, grandkids hooked it to the internet. Been read’n your letters. Good stuff. Why don’t you young guys ever share your honey holes. In my day we shared, helped each other, like that Fish Hunter guy. Hope you don’t think that the river is only about walleyed pike. Don’t forget about the freash water drum and the cats. Good eat’n. Hope to see you guys out there.
