Gonfishn, so you’ve seen a total of 4 dead walleyes this summer, so the lake should be shut down.

I suppose that you blame “tournaments” for the majority of fished killed on the lake every yr too?

When I got to the lake today, I had a 23 inch walleye washed up on the beach, that’s the 2nd fish I’ve had on a 130′ of eastern shoreline since spring of 2014. The other was an 18″ smallie. You must have a dead fish magnet on in your boat, and on your beach.

Add duct tape and a channel locks to DT’s list and you’d have the”tool tote” that’s in my boat.

The Fox watching the hen house….and no one paying attention to the Fox. Despicable response by the DNR. Absolutely asinine.

Take the time to read the MNDNR “mission statement” and see how many areas they have FAILED. How anyone keeps their jobs is beyond me. We all “spend” WAY too much in state tax for funding these idiots to sit idly by and accept their bullish!t.

Joe, please post the email address of the person who responded to you so we can ALL ask which “portions” of indian harvest are “monitored”.

Thanks DT. I thought I had my dream boat last time around. (621 Ranger) As absolutely unbelievable as that boat/hull is, it ain’t a tiller. My cabin is just south of you so I ‘finger’ fish a lot – Can’t beat a tiller for fishing Mille Lacs.

We had a helluva sunset this evening, it looked like Big Point was on fire. ☺

Yesterday, Liberty Beach landing was totally full, they were parking on 47. Cedar Creek had half dozen or so rigs but the dock isn’t in there. Right now, there are 11 boats spread out between Big Point, Shaws and Doe Island.

BigHan, how is it any different than what has been happening for 15 years on Mille Lacs? The spineless media will bury their heads in the sand… While the message boards burn with indignant fervor….And the DNR shrugs, then points the blame up hill. (Because they’re as spineless as the rest of us)

Derby starts next week and they’re still looking for a few Co-Anglers (I think). I’m signed up and hope to learn a few more tricks. See you out there – Oconto really does lay out the red carpet for events, it will be a great time.

That really hit home tonight. We forget to appreciate what we have – I do, A LOT. Thank you Kooty.

And thank you Bob, for doing what you’ve done – it’s amazing.

If BK had his arm up, with a basketball in it, and his tongue sticking it, and had an ounce of atheletic ability, and was 6′-6″ tall, and was African American, and had an ounce of athletic ability, and was wearing a bulls uniform….it almost looks like Jordan when he would take off from the free throw line.

That’s tough to diagnose with the less than 10 fow caveat. I’ve never really looked at mine on down scan that shallow. Might just be “stuff” in the water. Is it cluttered in sidescan mode? Or is 2d sonar all cluttered up at the same time?

1st pic is missing something…2nd is perfect….3rd has the mix (left side) and usually what pic 1 and 2 lead to.

Might stop it tomorrow but today looks to be incredible!!!

Almost 50lbs leading (5 fish bag) and an 8 pound average didn’t make the top 10.

Buzz, The no cull rule has little effect when a 2 person team can have 12 fish in the livewell. (and weigh their best 5 or 6)

Yeah, what a cesspool of armpit stench Mille Lacs is. No pride of ownership here. Look at the ugly shorline and all the drunks wondering around.

    Grouse Dog,

Honestly its pleasant to look at but a well manicured lawn leading up to a shoreline of a lake rather ugly and irresponsible if we are talking about responsible management of a fishery and the lakes Eco system.

Not to credible to pick and choose what practices one wants to fallow as for fish management.

My inlaws dump pure liquid nitrogen into the lake to keep the zeebs off the dock and lifts….Grade of land runs AWAY from the lake. Good grief, I give up.

PLEASE, ALL people, keep thinking that Mille Lacs is comparable to a nuclear waste land, and stay the [censored] AWAY.

I use my non insulated Cabelas Guide wear bibs for everything. Summer fishing, ice fishing, snowmobiling, building snowmen with the kids, etc. They’re bullet proof and somewhat affordable. 4+ years of abuse and they’re still going strong.

I’m a packer hate’er but that was top 3 bad beats I’ve ever seen. Pathetic that 20th string officials decided the game. Losing respect for the NFL daily.

I can think of 25+ locals/Mille Lacs tourney guys that would fish it – Maybe as many as 50 if I thought hard about it. 100+ boats total maybe?

Participation would be much higher than LOW where they drew less than 10 local sticks.

Here’s where mine is, lowest point on the hull – next to the 2d ducer. Mine works well, you just need to make sure you’re lined up on the trailer before loading.

This is LSS1 on an ’11 621 but should be comparable to what you want.

Edit – Note that my plug is out and there isn’t a weed on the trailer…..I fish Mille Lacs, therefore I make double sure that my boat is clean…While the Rum River carries millions and millions of gallons of water to points unknown. Just dumb.

Kent, what changed on the hull from 2012 to 2013? Or for that matter from 2001 to 2013? The attached photo is of a 2001.

I think the 1890 hull came out in 1997 or so? (I don’t know) Has the hull mold changed since then? (again, I don’t know, just wondering if there are significant changes to anything but fit/finish and interior layout)
