The sinker slide does several thing for you: It is easy on your main line; allows you to change sinkers weights without having to retie your line every time; and at the end of the day you just remove your sinkers from the rod and they aren’t banging up your rods during transport.

The snap swivel allows you to change leaders on the fly without having to retie. I pre-tie all my leaders and store them in a business card type folder. Tie up leaders with different size hooks and different leader lengths. You can then change leaders in a few seconds especially in the dark without having to retie in the dark.

I use sinker slides on almost all my rigs, I am running into broken slides on occasion, and it isn’t the snap part that breaks, it’s the part that attaches the slide to the snap.

I’m really digging the idea of snaps below the sinker. I’ve always used a double eye, and your right, it is time consuming when your leader breaks. My question is, does anyone pre-tying leaders use a double eye swivel on the connecting end of the leader, or do they use a loop knot?

I find it hard to believe a manufacturer would build 2014 models and not do some parts runs so that there are extras for cars that need them. The car has been at the shop for 4 weeks now.

I see it all too frequently, with all manufacturers. I manage a parts department for Nissan, and we are currently waiting on a part for a 2014 model. It has been over 4 weeks, and I can’t do any more than I have (elevated the order to the highest level). If it where my car, I would find out which dealership has the part on order and contact the parts manager. Ask him if he has done all that he can to procure the part. Nobody in this bussiness wants to keep a customer waiting, and beleive me, it is very frustrating for the parts guys and the body shops alike.

I went from android to the 5s. First my daughter bought one and I really liked it so the fw and I got them and also now my other daughter, so now we all have them. I really like the smaller size and it works flawlessly. The battery life Is a lot better than my old phone as we’ll. I get well over a day including being on the ice out in the cold and with moderate usage like lots of picture and video taking, a little surfing, listening to music etc. I never really was an apple guy but I do like this phone!

I might add that you usually get the best deals very close to the end of any given month ( especially the last day) Dealers are trying to hit their sales numbers.

Any car dealers/experts out there? I’m looking to lease a vehicle that can tow at least 3500 pounds. Budget is $1000 down and approx $275-300/mo at 12k miles/year. Anyone know of any current deals?

If you have decent credit, you should have no problems finding a vehicle that will fit the bill and then some. Competition is your friend right now and most manufacturers are offering great lease deals.

Really? Then whats the point in spending the extra 100$ for the thermal version over the regular shelter?

so you can carry extra weight.

Don’t believe me, turn off the heat on a cold windy January night and see how long before you can see your breath.

Seriously they will hold heat for a few minutes, but that is max.

Gotta agree with Wade on this one…you really have to consider the fact that a hub has no floor. Sure insulation will help as far as protecting you from the outer elements, but you will still have a nice deep freeze for a floor…

Maybe we will cross paths early October. A group of us are coming up the 4th-6th and will be camping by day and fishing by night.

Sorry to hear Jeff. I know you guys where pretty tight.

Jack was a fantastic neighbor, and a great father. His was the kind of place where all the neighborhood kids hung out,and he knew them all.

He was the one whom alerted my wife when our oldest got stabbed, when the other neighbors didn’t think it that important.

I could go on and on, but the bottom line is that there are a lot of people that will miss him, especially the children.

RIP Jack, my heart aches for your family and friends.

I would say it would run that app no problem. That phone has plenty of power, and as long as it has gps capabilities I see no problem.

Edit…Looking at all the specs, I see it does have gps navigation, so you should be good to go.

I unhook the safety chain on mine before backing it in. Keep the strap connected until it is backed in. Back in, start boat, then unhook the strap.

I USED to do that. Until my winch let go on a long steep ramp, and there is a nice dent in the back of my hull to prove to me safety chain needs to stay on till trailer is in the water. I’m lucky I didn’t damage my lower unit…

You toss your anchor out and wonder “what the heck am I going to do with all this extra rope?”

Oh there where several un-edited f-bombs. I was just laughing my FN a$$ off. The last one was so noticeable when they had the camera zoomed right in on him, and yeah you could hear them plain as day.
