It was a good night for fishing for sure.. of course any night is good.. 
I could not agree more Brad.. The zum is a great challenge cause she is always changing and the fish are always moving, just when you think you have a pattern, WHAMMY!!! you get humbled… Good times Good times…

We decided to pass last weekend. but we are thinking of heading over there on friday night.. anyone have any idea how good the ice is to cross to the other side from the ponderosa..Does that bottom half freeze up better(faster) than the upper half??

we did just that on saturday, its a great way to get in some excersize and save 20 bucks… caught numerous smallmouth bass on just about everything, and a few white bass below the dam..
that is a beautiful strech of river, and I can’t say I am sorry for Macs high prices, keeps the riff raff out…

I can tell you it is a great time! You don’t have to be a pro to get involved in this, Really, its just some friendly competition and a great way to get out every week, The zum will humble you at times for Bass, everyone certainly has a great chance out there. Be sure and try and make it, you will not be sorry you did!

I had heard through the grapevine about this..
I live in Zumbrota and do much of my hunting in the mazeppa area, and most of my fishing…
I mean 90% of it, on the Lake(zum) and the river…
With the risk of sharing the best spot… 
THAT IS, one of the best fisheries I have fished…
I am all for catch and release so i am somewhat bias, but there are plenty of Cats and suckers that people can keep.. I have eatin a few cats outta there and they are mighty tasty.. but everything else(gamefish) goes right back in..
over the past 5 years, since the regs. it has only gotten better, more and bigger fish..
I love that stretch of water, and hope we can keep it healty and keep it growing for years to come…
You can bet I will be writing…
