I’ve done a similar recipe the past few years. Make a paste with mayo/shredded parm (lot more parm than mayo)/fresh lemon juice, and a little fresh dill. Broil on low until its the cheese is melted and the paste is now a creamy sauce. Serve right on top of wild rice and its tough to beat.

I took Monday off and fished P2 and found a very tough bite. Fished for about 5 hours in the morning and got skunked! Threw plastics… sticks.. hair… blades.. and not so much as a bump. Glad I’m not the only one who’s found it slow this week. I had been starting to question my fishing abilities.
October 30, 2020 at 12:20 pm #1983965Hey All-
Got out for the evening into the dark with Luttes last night. Pitched wing dams and current seams with plastics and stick baits. Not so much as a bump! Anyone having action after dark on P2 this week? May try the Croix or P4 this weekend instead

October 14, 2019 at 11:34 am #1884602I was out Sunday as well and worked hard for one fish on the upper end of Pepin! Wind made it tough to work some spots correctly though. Good luck out there!
August 19, 2019 at 10:51 am #1874373I’ve been fishing the Croix once a week this month and have had some success pulling cranks. Got a good one Saturday! They are out there but can be a grind until the water temps drop.

April 4, 2019 at 7:39 am #1848224Every spring I go to the dollar store and stock up on those light sticks that you crack to make them glow. I use the red and green ones on planer boards at night and it works great!
February 21, 2019 at 11:59 am #1837311This is what I was looking for! Thanks
What size do you prefer?
February 21, 2019 at 9:59 am #1837263Hi All,
Just curious what hooks you use when making your own blades? I’d like to replace the hooks on mine with something sticky sharp. If I were to put split rings on the B3 blades would cause the trebles to get caught on the body of the blade or the line more often?

Didn’t know you were still out there! Hope all is well.
July 5, 2018 at 9:14 am #1783994Ufda – Thanks for the photo Biggill! I bet if you ran to where it started to clean up it might be worth a shot. I’ll save this one for a bit later this summer. Thanks all for the replies!
June 5, 2018 at 8:05 am #1778555I keep a roll of tape in the boat… tape the phone to my seat on a self timer and turn it so you can see what you’re getting. Just make sure you know exactly where it needs to be so you can set up quick and get them back in the water!

February 26, 2018 at 1:45 pm #1755314I’ve had the 112 Terrova for a year now and have loved it. For fishing the river the jog feature makes it easy to move up and down the faces of wingdams. The new models seem much more accurate and to hold tighter than the old. As for the lift assist, mine was great until the plastic collar broke during a cold trip.
February 8, 2018 at 10:10 am #1750815Hey Migz,
The steering systems use a hydraulic fluid that is pushed/pulled to your cylinder at the transom of the boat. When its cold, the fluid is less viscous than it is at warmer temps (just like any other oil) and takes more effort to push through the lines. This is normal in the winter.
September 11, 2017 at 7:53 am #1714500Biggill, thanks for taking the time to write this up! This is making me have the urge to take a few days off and get up there yet this month… Glad to see you had a nice trip.
August 23, 2017 at 2:20 pm #1711660triton186 let us know if you have any luck. I’ve given this pattern a small effort in the past without anything to show, however, I’m thinking its a good opportunity to put some quality fish in the boat.
July 31, 2017 at 10:37 am #1707452We made it out yesterday with some decent action. Spent the morning focusing on the outside halves of wing dams pitching jigs with crawlers, leeches and willow cats with willow cats being the top producer. We also had some luck with #7 flicker shads. Depending on the dam, they either wanted bait or cranks, but for the most part we would only get bit on one or the other.
We found that if there were fish on a particular dam, they would usually hit within the first few casts. Bounce around and check out a bunch of wing dams with the right flow on them and bring a lot of live bait! Sheep head and small channel cats will keep you busy at first light.
Tight lines
June 21, 2017 at 1:32 pm #1700218I always check the stage and flow from the link above before heading back in there. Today the stage is at 5.3 and that’s about the lowest I’d go back there to fish.
June 12, 2017 at 8:12 am #1698585Hi All,
I’ll be coming up to Leech for the first time this week and staying on the West side. Sounds like lindy/leech combos have been producing but I was curious as to what else I should be trying.
Has the spinner bite started yet? If bug hatches are close this can’t be at behind.
Also, do many people troll this time of year? All the reports I have seen are shallow, could trolling lead deep be productive?
Saw some good weights from the AIM tourney this weekend and would be fun to get some photos with a few big ones!

May 1, 2017 at 11:33 am #1691641I’ve been very impressed with my 2017 Terrova. Holds much tighter to a spot than the older ones I’ve experienced. Granted I’ve only got a couple months in on it….
March 6, 2017 at 9:43 am #1679125Only fished it once and found one mudpuppy and a small sauger. I think those fishing sturgeon and hugging the open water had more luck.
February 6, 2017 at 10:40 am #1671621Here are a few photos I found that show the two possible mounting options I could do on my Triton 205.
I’m not sure what the pros/cons are of either. I’ve heard rumors that if you mount flush with the water (Option 2) it creates a lot of drag and pressure on the ducer and it can be broken off when running a river with lots of debris.
I was thinking it would be protected if mounted high up the step (Option 1) however I’m questioning whether or not it would be as effective in this position.

December 5, 2016 at 7:13 am #1654614I was able to get out on Saturday afternoon into the evening. We were able to tie into a few white bass and walleyes on stick baits and moxies on some main channel spots and a handful of shot walleyes on blades in some backchannel areas.
The water sure came up quick but it was a great afternoon on the river. We ended up being the only trailer in the parking lot when we headed home shortly after dark.

November 29, 2016 at 6:52 am #1653328Great fish gentlemen! Hoping for a couple more opportunities to get out. I haven’t brought the batteries inside just yet…
September 28, 2016 at 9:50 am #1642112Thanks for all the input! I looked at a few used models that were about 12-15 years old and called the manufacturer. Sounds like they often need about $300 worth of parts at any time when they get to be that old.
Bit the bullet and ended up ordering a new Panther model 55. Hopefully no more headaches to come with this motor.

July 13, 2016 at 9:25 am #1628800Make sure to find a ramp that will be open and watch out for trees coming downstream!
June 28, 2016 at 9:51 am #1626738Thanks for sharing, Jon! I’m looking forward to seeing how that project turns out.
