what model of boat do you have? I have Navigator 175cs that came with a 12v TM when I bought it. I had a little confusion when I switched to a 24v.
orange and black to one battery, red and black to the other.
If you the the tape off the wire connection to the plug the red wire needs to be hooked to the orange wire for 24v. red to orange, black to black.June 1, 2016 at 1:11 pm #1622265I have 4 Daiwa Accu-Depths, going on 9 years now and I do a lot of trolling and have had no problems with them. I would buy them again
May 13, 2016 at 10:44 am #1619420I bought a Bradly digital 4 rack smoker last fall and I was somewhat concerned about smoking in the winter. well this past winter I did a lot of smoking and I couldn’t be happier with it. had no problem getting to temp and maintaining temp.
April 7, 2016 at 2:24 pm #1612244I don’t claim to know anything about anything and as far as Mille Lacs goes until the DNR recognizes the white elephant in the room I don’t care what they do.
But I would think that most of the “estimated” mortality rate is related to the way people are fishing and not so much what they are fishing with. with today’s artificial leeches and night crawlers you can use them on a Lindy rig and gut hook walleye’s all day long. think about it, your fishing with a Lindy rig and you get a bite what do you do? feed them line until they poop the hook out.
I’m just saying.March 22, 2016 at 10:40 am #1608398I have a single console boat and I mounted mine horizontal right under the throttle/shiftier leaver using bracket that came with it.
It’s out of the way but it’s right there.January 15, 2016 at 11:51 am #1592819thanks for the reply’s guy’s, and Ryan I know the e-tec and a 4-stroke both have there pro’s and con’s but with what I’ve read so far I’m kind of leaning towards the e-tec but I’m still kind of on the fence. but I do plan on continuing my re-search.

September 2, 2015 at 2:29 pm #1563587next time try trolling the front side of the wing dams, a little tricky but with a little practice it can be productive
August 26, 2015 at 6:54 am #1561770if memory serves me correctly there was some legal issue in the harvesting of that deer, and I do believe the deer was confiscated by the DNR but don’t quote me on that

March 31, 2015 at 6:54 am #1529125there’s some good shore fishing opportunities right in Prescott just up from the boat launch, boundary waters open year round
March 26, 2015 at 3:23 pm #1527530here in MN you can only fish trout till 11pm, theres a reason for that.
big browns are most active at night. its a little tough fishing in the dark but it can be done. one of my go to lures at dark is a small gitter bug fished on a nice deep pool.March 11, 2015 at 1:46 pm #1522211if someone called you doing a survey and asked if you owned a gun what would you say.
February 4, 2015 at 10:23 am #1506954Sent an email to David Hartwell copying the Outdoor News article and expressing my concern about the federal trusted status. This is the response I got.
Tim,
I appreciate the interest in this project. This letter appears to be a copy of one sent earlier to the council and responded to but I will still respond to your email..
I respectfully disagree with most of the arguments in the email. If you read the constitutional language that governs the recommendations of the Council and the spending of Legacy money for habitat, it is about protecting, restoring and enhancing habitat for wildlife. Other than a requirement that the land remain open for the taking of fish and game if it is acquired in fee, the constitution is silent on the issue of access and therefore that is not a governing principal of our recommendations as to make it such would be to be in conflict with the constitutional constraints we operate under.
Further, the agreements that are required as part of the grant agreement, provide the state the right to take back the land if the agreements are not upheld. This includes land put into trust by a tribal entity and we have had both prior examples of this with other state funds and written assurances from the tribe and federal government that they accept this interpretation. And it would include having the land open for the taking of fish and game by non-tribal and tribal members alike.
I am more sympathetic to the concern about property taxes. However, it is interesting to me that this issue has not come up with the many projects we have funded with the long term holders being other entities that do not pay property taxes. This would include counties themselves, watershed districts and nonprofits. But when it comes to funding tribal acquisitions the issue becomes a major one. Interesting indeed.
David Hartwell
what Mr. Hartwell fails to point out in his reply is that once the land goes in to the federal trust the state and the DNR have ABSOLUTELY no jurisdiction over the land any more. that responsibility goes solely to the tribe. and if for some reason the state deems it necessary to take the land back, good luck with that court battle.

December 31, 2014 at 11:28 am #1490391first of all we refer to ourselves as “foot soldiers”
what I use is a safety harness for deer hunting, seems every tree stand a guy buys now days comes with the cheaper safety harness. just take one and modify it (cut off the leg straps) and it makes a nice towing harness. I’ll even bet there are a lot guys on IDO that have a pile of these in the garage some where (like i do) they would be willing to get rid of.
also I periodically check the bottom of my otter for gouges or rough spots and will sand them down to smooth them out. also put a good coat of ski wax on.
every little bit helps.December 31, 2014 at 11:08 am #1490377If a person thinks about it, what better way to educate the public!
Make an unenforceable law that pisses all the boaters off, then repeal it before it takes effect. (I know, I’m giving certain people too much credit).
The public educating the public!
this is exactly whats going to happen, this bill (at least the sticker) part of it will be repealed before it goes into effect.
