I know Doc Samson has his hooked up to a lap top maybe shoot him an email on his website and ask how he does it.
That would be your best place to start.
The grease is most likely your problem has the roller bearing won’t grip because the grease is holding it back. That is if it has an anti-reverse bearing. What kind of reels (model / make) are they? An i can direct you to what exactly needs to be done. It is nothing you can’t do.
Stop at the parts store, a body shop, or dealer and pick up a new set of pins and the brass bushings. Just drive the pins out with a punch on the old doors. Punch out and replace the bushings on the new doors, hang the new doors with new pins. There are a couple of different lengths on the pins, so if you can bring in your old ones to compare that would best.
Unless GM has changed the way they hang doors in the last few years it should use this system, otherwise stop at a body shop or a gm dealer and ask (if you buy the pins and bushings from them they should be more then happy to answere any questions).
Married, one kid, and another one in May…
Thanks for the responses! Keep em coming!

How’s the wheel lift system? Hydraulic?
I believe they use electric screw jacks (with manual back-up) like the one used in large RV’s for leveling. Very dependable.
Yeah, but for the extra ten minute drive I would NOT recomend the grantsburg hotel. JMHO And agreed not the best lake for panfish.
Nothing on Little Wood. The luther point bible camp has a nice cabin for bigger groups on Big Wood but no drinking. Other wise the only other place that is close and nice would be The Lodge or the Best Western in Siren. There is not any ice house rentals in the area that I know of if that is what you are looking for. Let me know when you are going, my old man and my uncles fish this area alot. They have been finding monster gills and decent crappie out on long trade (atlas). But access can be little tricky. Good luck finding a place to stay!
Make sure your gas cap is breathing properly. It sounds like it may be starving for fuel.
Check out this website. I found it very helpful when I started to build rods. The link should take you to the how to section. Like Rod-man said it is not a real hard one. Like all wraps just make sure your first lay is straight and you take your time.
Good luck.

Nice looking caves!!!…. Someday I will have one of my very own, actually I have one now but I don’t think the garage counts.
I also have a Gary Fisher. The two or three times I had it out, it rode real nice, otherwise makes for a great ornament in the man cave. When I bought mine, I rode just about everything they had in my size, at three or four shops, test ride before you buy! Good luck on your search!
The FL-20 is a nice unit but try the LX-5, run them side by side, use all of the features, and then decide what unit you would like to hold on to. My bet is, if you give the LX-5 a fair shot, you will be looking for a buyer for your FL-20. JMHO
What do you want to know?
It is up to 30%.
Guns and ammo 0%
most things 10%
lures and terminal 20%
ice fishing and some clothing 30%
hope this helps!
I think the ad is supposed to just say we are closing and deals up to 30% off.
Um no the prices were not jacked up, the prices on the rapalas are what they have been for over a year, less 20%. Loomis had a manadatory price increase about nine months ago that is why the price on the wrapper was crossed out. If you check with the MSRP off the Loomis web site our rods are priced right in line with that, less 10%. Hope this eliminates any confusion. I don’t know maybe the guy above is trying to horde the deals to himself.
Yes….0% on guns and ammo
5% on electronics
10% on most things
30% on ice fishing and some clothing.
Nothing too impressive yet… I am sure it will get better in a week or two… What is impressive is how much stuff is flying out the door already.
I did not memorize the whole list but I do know that all stores in MN and WI are closing. That is:
Woodbury, MN
Coon Rapids, MN
St. Cloud, MN
Depere, WI
New Berlin, WI
The stores that are going to stay open are mostly out west in the Rockies.
I do apologize for venting a bit… I am (hopefuly understandably) very frustrated. I did take your comment personaly Perch, but that is just the kinda guy I am. Because this post is about SW I automaticaly thought you were of course talking about my employees and myself.
No hard feelings.

oh, and the customer service sucks at all the stores for the most part. once in a while you’ll find somebody who actually knows the product and is happy to help you, but i’ve come accustomed to this, as what can you expect when their employee base is high school/college kids making 8 bucks an hour. its a job to them is all…
Obivously you do not know any of my employees…. They took alot of pride in knowing the product and servicing the customer… If you think that everyone in sporting goods is a dumb [censored] making 8 bucks an hour, you can KISS MY
Alot of us, at least at my store, do this because we love what we do, we take pride in our work. We come from alot of different back grounds and could easily go work else where for more money. Just like everyone else out there you have a choice to be good at what you are doing. Yes I am defending my guys and can proudly say my guys in the fishing department are the best you will ever find in any “big box”…. ok done venting…..
Yes this means there will be some good “sales”, I will keep you posted when we know more about the liquidation process.
It is sadly true, all of the midwest stores will be closing. It has been a great experience, there are many, many great friends that I have come to know over the years. Working in this enviroment has been awsome, helping people enjoy their sports, their passions. It has truely been the best job a guy could ask for… playing with fishing and hunting stuff all day… I will truely miss this. The plus side, there should be some good deals, and we will have some time to say good bye to the customers that we have become good friends with. This is certainly not good bye for me on here, I will still share, and help out when I can.
It has been a good run! Thank you!
You probably checked this already… but did you get the wires on properly on that side?… If you mixed them up at the cap, that would definately cause this. It is easy to do, can’t say I have ever done this myself…
The Asaro is a very nice reel, not quiet has smooth as a PTI, but still very nice. The quantum’s have had issuses in the past with their anti reverse on the PTI line, I have had to repair two of my 20’s. The PTI’s are also kinda heavy, they balance long rods out nice 7’+ but wouldn’t put it on anything much shorter. Good luck in your reel search.
The reese reels are basicaly a premier with extra bearings, a six pin brake, and a different handle. They are very nice reels, but it kinda depends what you plan on doing with it. If you only plan on using it for one specific technequic I would say go for it. But if you plan on going from pitchin’ and flipin’ to bombing cranks to soft plastics I think either the premier or the stx would be a better fit with the magnetic brake. The magnetic brake makes it very easy to tune the reel quickly (wind, casting style, lure changes, etc.) and is very forgiving, much more so then the six pin. I have them all and realy enjoy them, but the reese I have only sees one rod and is used only for lipless cranks. Which ever way you decide to go I think you will be happy with it, they are all very nice casters.
Nice reels, just make sure you play with the ones you are taking home. With all of the new Shimano spinning reels we have noticed that eveyonce in a very great while you will find one that isn’t quite has smooth has it should be. Probly just needs a bit of oil, but to play it safe we send them back. But if you get a good one, you get a good one.
The guides are a Nickle Titainium Alloy, they actually polish up with use and will get better with age. I have built several rods using these guides and have had nothing but great feedback! I would not be afraid to use them if I were you!
I love my Strike Lite by Strike Master!
Light weight, no mixing gas, quiet, cuts good, ALWAYS starts. After running one of these for a couple of years I will not run anything else! Best of luck on your auger search!
Bird dog is correct.. 224 is going to the way side, They are very smooth cutters but really not much faster and again more up keep. I would also imagine, in the future, the small blades may be hard to find if you ever needed to replace them. I do beleive the gear baoxes are all the same so you should be able to put a lazer bit on there with out any problems.
