    Just got off the phone with Jigglestick, hes pulled of all his houses on both Winne and Cut foot Monday, he says the roads were great off and on the lakes at that time but this soaking rain can change things fast-call ahead

    he said the pearch and tullys were still going in 25 ft of water just about anywhere and crappies were still active on Cutfoot- 28 inches of ice yet in great shape

    HIS NAME IS —-
    LAKE NEWMAN
    6 YEARS YOUNG
    FROM VADNALS HEIGHTS

    i WAS IMPRESSED BY HIM
    the crowd had cleared and the noise level dropped and i could hear again;

    as WE WHERE ABOUT TO LEAVE ALSO; I heard this little voice not to far away “”ask his mom and dad if he could get a bag and go clean up all the little the adults left behind””

    For some reason I just tagged on over to him as he came back for a second bag to fill up and it didnt take long;
    all he told me was- “”they teach us about mother nature and being Green”” “and i want to help and dont mind”
    of coarse i ask him and his parents if i could take a pix of him for an example to us Adults to follow

    I hope someday he will be able to go to Nittis Hunter Point and get a free burger, fries and pop and send the bill for it to me and Judge JUDY
    [email protected]

    this is the end of my report

    Great Going

    I didnt get a very good report on the Ducks Unlimit contest acrost from the Blue Goose last Saturday- anyone hear?

    my eyes and ears during the contest to give a report kinda forgot where they we suppose to be
    “on the ice” “Fishing”

    well an hour and a half passed the end of the contest time, they finally found the last one of 8 still on the ice babbling something about “is the contest over”

    “we just got here”
    as they laid him in the tobogan and slid him back to the truck, the designated driver had his hands full enough as it was so he didnt get a lot of info from the contest either

    be carefull and have a sober driver

    its surprising how a heart attack, light stroke, total hip replacement, and 1 major surgery can keep slowing you up before the age of 60 which is 2 years away yet

    you learn to get with the program of life you have been delt “like it or not” It Takes the wind out of your sail’s pretty fast and the pharmacy is saying my name on a first name basis;; “Thats not a good sign”

    well it sure gives you alot of time to reflex back and remember good and bad times- where should i start?,

    well just to start the story off on the right foot?
    Judge Judy bought a computor, even though i said no!!
    she taught me how to push a button to a certain forum that had started up–I was hooked- it didnt take much because I already guided on Mille Lacs for corporations during the summer and plowed during the winter on the East side– those days we never heard of GPS,,– the compass and land and lights marks, were the only guide marks

    also there wasnt 5000 boats on opening day; you could cruise at 30 mph- the 18ft with a 3 cylinder topped at around 40–

    just a short story–DONT leave your stringer of fish hanging over the dock edge or tied to the boat on a stringer,, Turttles love them

    maybe ill finish some off the story later–have a great year of fishing

    well they should never put some of those keys next to the other–the one finger typers do have a tough time thinking and typing at the same time

    spell check
    whats that?

    glad most of you figured it out

    i would diffently use Westwind- which ever one you choose- dont back in past the cement ramp;; it gets deep fast

    i would troll straight out from the boat markers at 7 ft with shad raps and rapalas around 4 inches long (perch colors) and go out to 12 ft and zig zag running one deep and one shallow- dont go South to far then turn and head North towards the River staying in the same pattern;

    when you go by the river about a couple blocks, you can either cast in with bobbers or the same lures, you may catch eyes, drummies, or sheaphead, gators for excitement;; or try for crappies, but i think there moved out and scattered by now- troll about 3 miles east, then turn around and troll back in deeper water with a rattle jig, the water maybe stained

    wish you all the best Russ&Judy

    The fishing is good, thats the best word to describe it. With the new slot limit in effect for the walleye, catching keepers is not too hard. The new slot size is 20″-26″ must be released. So now all those 17 1/4″ fish we have been releasing, we can now put in the livewell. The walleye have moved out to a little deeper water and now are in 6-10 ft. Most people are trolling but anchoring and jigging is still bringing in the fish. My kids and I did very well last night while anchored in 7 ft of water using slip bobbers. The East shoreline is still the place to be for walleye. North and South are also producing walleye along with the occational crappie. The Northerns are in the same area as the walleye and maybe just a little shallower. Trolling cranks is the best way to catch a big pike. Come on up and try out the fishing and bring the kids, they’ll love it!! Good luck.

    Happy Fathers’s Day to all the Dad’s out
    there! The weather and the fishing just
    doesn’t get much better than the last 10
    to 12 days here on Upper Redlake. “Crazy,
    unbeleivable, insane, fantastic” are just
    some of the adjectives fishermen have been
    using to describe the walleye action right
    out front here on the South shore. The bite
    is still in 4 to 8-9′ water. A couple slabs
    here & there, some nice pike with a 42″ the
    largest reported. The south winds and warm
    temps to stay a while longer, Fish On!!!!!!

    I’m not used to seeing Upper Redlake this
    calm for this long, I like it! The nice
    weather has made for good fishing conditions
    the last week now and the walleye continue
    to cooperate. The bite has been strong on
    the SE and south shores in particular in
    6 to 9′ water, many fish still being caught
    in 4′ or less also especially in the evening.
    Jigging or trolling doesn’t matter as most
    all baits are working and the new slot is
    helping people limit in short order!

    The “light winds” forecast the last couple
    days have been 10 to 15 mph out of the WNW
    most of the time. This has made the fishing
    a little more difficult. While some have
    had good luck others are finding sheephead
    more than walleye. The temps are to warm up
    for the weekend so hopefully that means SW
    winds will take over??!! While there have
    been a few good crappie reports from the
    north shore and even the south “rock humps”
    the cool water temps have made for a quite
    inconsistent bite pattern. We are running
    out of time soon but if warmer days are in
    store we may have a week or two for the
    slabbers to be active. Most of the fish are
    still shallow 4-8′ and in the evening we
    are still catching walleye and occaisionally
    crappie off our dock in three feet or less!!

    Now we are headiing into the best time for fishing. The temps are starting to come up finally and the forecast for this week looks good. The walleye are still hanging out all along the shore line in 6-8 ft of water and around the river like always. The river it self has slowed down some but there still are plenty of fish in there for the windy days. The fish in and around the river are larger and most of them are in the protected slot. The smaller “keeper” sized fish are scatered along the break line of the lake in that 6ft range. Chartraruse, orange and pink work good and gold has been working too. Tip your jig with a shiner or a fathead and your set. If you want to cover some ground, trolling crankbaits has proven to be very effective also. Again 6-8 ft right on the break line is the place to be. Crappies have been showing up some too but we need some nice weather before they move into the shallow water so this week maybe the time. Northerns are a little deeper than the walleye now and can be found trolling the outside of the break in 8-9 ft of water. Memorial Weekend was one of the busiest on record for boat traffic. We had nearly 80 boats from here and the public access had at least triple that. It looked like a solid line of boats from North to South, and most people did very well fishing. The upcoming weeks should be real good and with the slot going up to 20″ on the 15th of June, finding keeps should be easy. Good Luck!

    Yup!!! thats the cream of the crop water unless you have an artsion well;;;

    OH So Nummy????., swamp land crystal clear and drinkable;;

    kinda like Hamm’s– the land of the sky Blue waters– its not bad if you hold the dark bottles up and see strings comeing down—now were talking Beer!!!! not water

    Heck – why not just buy a sump pump and garden hose — the drain level is usally only 12 ft for most ditches or swamps and save the drilling cost for a boiler to cook it down and a couple nylon hoseeries to filter it with

    total cost
    pump–$79—
    100 ft hose;— $12
    swipe the wifes nylons for filtering — $ its her cost

    rental of a backhoe to dig a 12 ft deep hole– priceless,;;
    why pound one down with hard work, just toss the sump pump over the edge

    thats another great story

    well drilling
    had Northstar do it
    they hit a great clear water vein at 58 ft— nope the law says, 138ft
    they hit another vein at 138, not a real good one but they drilled on

    at 158 they hit pure granite, pulled her back up to 138 ft, filled the part from 158 up to 138 with concreat and set the point at 138– stinky water, not as good of water flow– the law says they can stop there, it was with in there guide lines–; now twice a year we have to flush it with cloracks cause it stinks- at 58 ft we could drink it right out of the hose, not at 138

    kinda got off the main tpic of the lot thing, please forgive me

    All you have to do is just talk to Russ & Judy– about things– they do have very good information about more things than sex, smoking, hunting, fishing, lumber, logging,sawmills, babcat work, sewer system installation installers, tank pumpers, furnace and pluming contacts- road makers, cat work, insperctor #’s, court house #’s for septic system designers

    the phone lines are open as of now

    your phone call is very important to us so please stay on the line till the next available person comes on (here comes the stupid music)

    please hold as your call is very important to us (more stupid music)

    call here or e-mail right away and honestly we will answer back or e-mail back as fast as we can to get you hooked up to the right person

    needless to say Big G– its costly, almost &12,000 for a 3 bedroom house, mound system, elrctric monitor system and pump

    if you put have put in an 2 bedroom system a year ago its out of date– you can Not just add more on your old system to make it a 3 bed room system

    it all, i mean, pipes, soil, mound, the ground under it all has to be removed, to a hazared zone– you ground has to be de-contaminated first, new tanks have to be installed or maybe another one added

    then theres another $600 fee to get it designed, siol tests, fileing fees etc, then wait for at least 6 months to get that approved

    good luck– some of the installers really dont want the jobs– its one heck of a hassel with the reg’s they put around the lake or anywhere close to it

    just remember;;

    you have to update your sewer when you sell or the buyer has to do it by selling date????? i think it states
