    Resurrecting an old post…

I want to get the in-laws on some panfish this weekend on Minnetonka in the wheelhouse. Looking for a community spot that has a nice access point which can provide some daytime bluegill action and some evening crappies. Not looking for your secret spot, just a spot where action can be somewhat consistent, as fish of any size will make them happy. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I would like to be added to the list! One battery, please. Thanks Jamin!

    Need a charger?

Nope, I’ll just use my regular charger for my Marcum.

Grouse, I’d be interested in pricing information as well. Local pick up wouldn’t be a problem for me.

Those look great! I like the shorter length for smaller jigs early in the season.

Awesome report, Ben! I’m planning to spend a few days in Ely next week over my spring break, hopefully the ice sticks around. I’ll be staying at a cabin on Burntside, so if you have any tips for out there, I would appreciate it! I’ve never caught or targeted lakers through the ice.

I found a deal on an otter cottage 1200 that I just could not pass up so I pulled the trigger. It’s listed as an ultra wide 1 man. I’ve always wanted a lodge but I figured for the price I got this at I couldn’t go wrong and I can always get the lodge another time if I ever have the dough. Anyway, I’m here asking opinions from those that own/fish from a cottage. There are tons of posts on cabins and lodges and even hideouts but it seems the cottage is the forgotten shack…

Anyone fish 2 guys out of this regularly?

Was this a deal for a new or used shack? If new, will you PM me where you found a deal? I’m in the market for the Cottage and am thinking about picking one up at the ice show this weekend.

Josh, I’ll be a guest at your resort next weekend the 20-24th. I’ve never fished Leech, so I’ll search you out for some tips. Sounds like bringing up a variety of gear and being willing to search for multiple species will be the best bet.

I appreciate all of the responses guys….thanks. I feel like a tool however….I checked the fuse and it was just that simple. But….I think I may caught a future problem with the wires getting crimped.

I had a similar issue with my Ram 1500. I kept blowing the same fuse, until I finally tracked down the issue to some exposed wire shorting out the fuse when my trailer would hit water.

I purchased a Lithium Lazer two weeks ago. Used it this past weekend for the first time and this issue occurred a few holes in. It was a bit of an adventure in the wheel house with blades spinning trying to figure out what was going on. Hitting the power button shut things down.

Strikemaster told me there is no timeline on the replacement of the swtich. They offered no repair options, simply return the auger for a full refund. Too bad, I was excited for this gas free option in the wheel house.

Stocked rainbows commonly swim just below the ice. They are often on the move, coming through in schools. They can be hard to see on your electronics screen as they come through high and fast. Jigging wax worms or small plastics a couple feet below the ice has been successful for me in the past. Target the edge of the lake and drill a series of holes. If you don’t see them coming through move further out into the lake.

    Nice fish!

Looking at that vacuum, I think it would be cool if someone could film them feeding.

With the camera down through the ice, I’ve seen them come by vacuuming up food. Pretty cool to see!

Fill me in on the free shipping details again please. Is there a discount code or some other way to use the discount?

    Thanks!

I was told at the Ice Show last night that the 3.01 update should be available on the Marcum website in the next week.

I called Marcum with the same issue after emailing them two weeks ago and not getting a response. They told me to buy a new charger off of their website. Not the response I was looking for when I already have $500 invested in the unit.

I am also having trouble with my charger for my LX-5. It is giving the percent readout, but not giving off a charge. I emailed Marcum about it last week, but they never responded to my email. The charger worked great for me all of last winter, but has not been working well this winter.
