Just got a report of some nice crappies at Johnsons. Might have to try and get out this weekend.

We used the north one and didn’t have any problems. South one was in use when we unloaded and loaded. Didn’t know that they were having trouble with either side.

Fished Sherman on Sat. 1 17″ walleye and 1 small cat is all we could muster. Saw several boats out, but it was hard to see if anyone was catching anything with the fog and drizzle. Tried Davis Creek on Sunday with a few small white bass. Water was still 61 degrees at both lakes.

Went Saturday morning, got there about 9 and heard some guys saying that it had slowed down some from earlierin the day. So maybe the bite is best in the morning. Anyway caught a few whites with most of them being good size, 1 17″. Talked to the guy who caught the flatheads earlier in the week, he caught two more on Sat. about 15lbs each and then some other guy caught a much bigger one, not sure on the size. The shad were up in the inlet pretty thick with people dipping them all the time. Kastmasters and shad seemed to work the best.

Went fishing Saturday night at Sherman. We caught a lot of walleye and a few white bass. The fish were skinny, but we also would have schools of shad come up under the lights. The shad were small though, not even an inch long mostly.

I was out at Elwood too Saturday evening/night. Fished the bubble again as I just couldn’t believe that it faded so quickly, but it did. 1 21″ eye and a few small drum. Went to try the dam and ran into a couple with a 26″, 24″, and 18″ eye. Sounded like they caught several other ones as well.

Fished Sunday heard it wasn’t as good a day as Saturday, but caught a few wipers, walleye, and catfish. My son caught a 21 1/2 pound cat. The wipers are VERY skinny and the other fish aren’t to fat either. Sure hope they keep putting water in.
