Some of the biggest gills and crappies I’ve seen north of the Mason-Dixon line were from Leech. That was quite a few years ago, but I assume it’s still good since most fish for walleyes there.

That’s a beautiful fish. I was out on 14 yesterday for most of the day and only caught two ring perch. But I’m a bass guy and don’t really know what I’m doing trying to catch walleyes. But I usually go once or twice a year in the spring. I didn’t see any caught out there yesterday. I should have waited for the rain I guess.

Nice fish. How deep do you usually find them around the brush in the current? I don’t fish for them but once or twice in the fall and if they aren’t biting in the community hole, I usually just go home and watch football.

I bought a VR3 wireless backup camera at Wal-Mart for about $100 (if I remember right). Works great. One of the better puchases I’ve made. I can put the ball right under the coupler. License plate lights provide enough light at night for me to see.

Ridiculous. I routinely eat there on the way back from Savanna tournaments. Hate to penalize the restaurant, but I’ll have to reconsider stopping there and getting money out of my wallet anymore until they drop the fee.

I just noticed that the payouts at the regional were scaled back for 2nd place on compared to last year. Did FLW say anything about that? If you look at the 2005 payouts vs. 2006, it looks like about a 33% cut or more from 2nd through 25th unless I’m not reading something right.

I just got one and used it for the first time tonight. Seems to be pretty smooth. Has the same bearing count as the old Curado but has the super free spool at the $119.00 price point. It is a bit heavier, but not enough to be an issue, I don’t think. I own 8 or 10 of the old Curados, and this reel seems to be a little bit smoother pitching than the Curados, but then, it is brand new. The little plastic things on the brake posts appear to be a little cheaper than the old ones…I popped one of adjusting it although it popped right back on. Tackle Warehouse (www.tacklewarehouse.com) still has free shipping on orders over $50 and they have the Citicas at $119.00.

No doubt they should have made a better attempt at informing people of the change.

It was because of the Children’s Therapy Center Charity Tournament out of Albany on the same day…could have been a real mess! It is generally a 125- to 150-boat tournament. It was good of BFL to change the date.
