I’m leaning towards keeping the gun but am going to take it to Scheel’s and see what he has to offer in trade. If not, I will be looking for ammo. Where you located, Ranger?

FYI.
Anyone who has received a permit in one county and then moves within Minn., has to notify that county of the address change. If you move to another county within Minn., you do not have to notify the new county as the permit is good for the whole state. You would renew your permit in the new county though.February 9, 2007 at 9:04 pm #535003Dat von vas an oldie Brian. How bout dis?

Summit duksJanuary 16, 2007 at 2:52 am #523286I’ll be there with the luteybait and DNA collector in hand. Winston and I will be staying at Jim G.’s so they may be there also.
December 29, 2006 at 1:27 am #516196We have a room at Scenic Bay. The BOP is wondering if there will be anyone else of the female tendancy there for the GTG.
December 19, 2006 at 4:12 pm #512897I’m here, alive and well. It’s just that I can look out in 3 directions from my house and see fishable ice and I’m going crazy trying to drill holes in every square inch of it. Of course the BOP has ideas that moving curio cabinets and hanging pictures has some sort of priority also.
We are heading into Tartan Park for a lutey buffet on Thursday (yes, we will drive 2 hours for lutey) and we also picked up a 2.5 lb package of fresh lutey at a local grocery store so things are good. I just have to make sure the BOP doesn’t mix up the fresh lutey with the leftover luteybait from last years Mille Lacs ice GTG. That stuff should be good to go for this year’s GTG.
December 15, 2006 at 3:34 pm #27219We were hunting about 10 miles south of you that weekend. You’re right, it was a great weekend to be stalking pheasants. We’ll hook up out there yet sometime.

December 15, 2006 at 3:26 pm #511665Wait a minute! I spend a couple of weeks away from the site and something like this shows up? I’ve used lutey for bait on the Croix and Mille Lacs and haven’t seen any fish like that yet. Cool pictures though.
BTW. I’m going to town next week to load up on lutey for the holidays. That and some church suppers out here and the BOP and I are good to go. Yes, Briank’s hometown sells lutefisk.
November 22, 2006 at 11:35 pm #502524Bring it on over, Tuck. I can fix you up with some sausage like you have never tasted before. Ingredients to be disclosed at a later date. Just remember, we work in 100# batches.
November 22, 2006 at 4:18 pm #502346Uh-oh. I’ll have to talk to the BOP. Sure hope I can find the Luteybait.
November 22, 2006 at 4:05 pm #502336Here’s what I meant by work. This is 600 lbs of bologna and Mettwurst hanging to dry before going into the smoke house. Another 200 lbs went into plastic bags for fry meat. Mmm-mmm. There may be some of this available for a GTG this winter.
October 17, 2006 at 10:19 pm #489868Thanks folks.
Here is a pic of the 4 season porch and deck that overlook the water off to the left. I plan to spend my mornings with a cup of coffee in one of those two places. I won’t bore you with more pics but maybe you can tell that we are quite happy.
Thanks, Gary for the advice and Brian, tell your Mom that it’s a date. Not sure I’m ready to call you son yet though.
Now I just have to figure out how to get power out to the bench seat on the dock to run the fridge next summer.
October 16, 2006 at 11:36 pm #489384Chris, I think I was an accident. Does that make me a good IDA’er?
October 16, 2006 at 6:00 pm #4892185 hunters, 2 dogs, 19 roosters by 1:00 pm Sun afternoon. Our average age is about 60 so that was enough. Can’t wait until the corn is out!

October 16, 2006 at 5:51 pm #489214I am sitting here looking at a card table with about 100 green and slightly ripened tomatos on it. As they ripen, I blanch them and take the skins off, put them in the freezer, and make my v-8 juice with them when all have ripened. I make juice from these instead of canning chunks because freezing tends to make them mushier(?).
October 7, 2006 at 10:56 pm #486720Hey, Hooks, if you get this in time, I will trade you some empty jars for full ones. Either way, I’ll bring some up.
October 6, 2006 at 3:55 pm #486475Geez, just brought back some lake trout from Canada. If I would have been thinking quick enough, we could have had some smoked by Sun. Oh well, next time.
October 6, 2006 at 3:37 pm #486465The BOP and I are coming up Sun. pm for a couple of days of fishing. Maybe we will stop in for some lunch and some pointers.
September 22, 2006 at 3:38 pm #481617Thanks, folks. We party tonight.
The BOP has jumped the gun a bit though. The sale of our home is pending the buyer’s loan approval and we haven’t heard anything for two days so it is not a done deal yet. We’re keeping our fingers crossed.
September 22, 2006 at 2:36 am #481468Thanks, guys. But what are you doing hustling my old lady, Tuck? How about it, Hooks? Does he talk nice to your wife too? Just kidding.
Right now I’m just a little busy planning a Canada trip, cheering on a 2 lb 3 oz grand daughter that the Son of the Putz and Kerri presented us with, buying a lake home and selling our place, and keeping the BOP in line to worry about having a higher digit added to my age. But life is good. Brian K. hasn’t harrassed me in days.
BTW, a question.
Are you of the male or female gender?
Just look down.

September 14, 2006 at 3:17 pm #478708Welcome aboard, cuz. I’ve run Crestliner and Lunds and liked both so I’m no help.
By the way, you eat lutefisk, right?
