I had a guy one time cut lanes across my fence and had a trail for his ranger through the fence so he could drive on my property whenever he wants. I never said anything to him but I did use the cat to push big [censored] brush piles against the fence where theses spots were. He never did it again. But the guy your dealing with sounds like some inbred hillbilly piece of crap. He might do something crazy if you fight back. Ignoring him even when he is an [censored] and going about your business has always worked for me.

I would push the trees over before cutting them up. Use the weight of the tree as leverage. The bobcat might have a hard time getting the stumps out otherwise.
January 23, 2013 at 12:26 am #129036Do you know why I don’t like cat people?
Because they have a big box of [censored] in their house.
To bad you can’t just shoot them. Maybe live trap then take them somewhere else.
January 2, 2013 at 10:52 pm #128551My above statement about taking the traps is true because they are not being lawfully placed. They are being placed by trespassers There are other people that trap for coon and such near our buildings and I have no problem with those. The ones I have a problem with are the people crossing the fence and setting where they shouldn’t be. Hopefully they will get the point some day so I don’t have to worry about our 5 lb dog getting crushed by a trap.
January 2, 2013 at 1:29 pm #128508That is why if I ever find a trap I destroy it or take it home and throw in scrap pile. Because the traps shouldn’t be on the land I am finding them.
December 13, 2012 at 12:24 am #128008Carrypermit.net is doing a class in Kasson on January 19. I might be taking that one. Otherwise there is one in plainview this Saturday. Also the gun shop in Millville does it anytime you want. I think he charges $125.
May 12, 2011 at 3:32 am #106166At 7 o’clock every night behind my house they are gobbling. Hopefully they still will be on Friday.

Ughhhh! A plank with some pole barn spikes will at least slow them down.
Agree. They work well on anything with tires.
April 8, 2011 at 11:06 pm #104149NRCS sells trees to landowners. I have gotten thousands of trees from them. When planting them make sure the roots never dry out. Depending on where I plant them and what the weather is like I will give them a shot of water. It is definatly a lot of work but if you want a treeline in ten years you are going to have to take care of them. Any spruce tree is going to probably take longer than that, so like what was said above you could plant a poplar since they grow mush faster. Keep in mind they don’t last forever.
February 11, 2011 at 9:33 pm #100292I see them gobbling and strutting during deer hunting sometimes.
February 9, 2011 at 12:48 am #100190Last I heard was that 50 or so deer have been taken. I thought the results only took a few days.

So I would call this a probable case that the Nebraska authorities should and more than likely are looking into.
Kind of sad that so many big whitetails are poached.
Who said this deer was poached. Just because he called his dad to say that he seen a big deer. Get a clue.
November 5, 2010 at 9:46 pm #91656Maybe try different trigger speeds or make sure that there is not something waving around in front of the camera. Mine worked best on normal and rarely had blank pictures unless it was windy enough to move the camera itself. I say “worked” because mine took a crap 10 months after I bought it. I sent it in with hopes that Busnell shoves it up their .

Is accessing ag land considered less of a deal by some? Or do you think it is the road hunters that the locals were eluding to?
In my experience with my land and my families land, it is the neighbors or the people right down the road that are the biggest problem. Last year my neighbor’s kid was shooting at deer off his fourwheeler towards my house and the combine while we were picking corn. Another neighbor rides his horse all over our woods no matter how many times we tell him to stay out. We have these problems on a regular basis. It has gotten to a point were we just say no to everyone. It is not just hunting but also dumping garbage and manure, driving through crops, nosey people, ect.
September 18, 2010 at 3:09 am #75356I like the quote about having a whole county to cover. I see Winona co. sheriffs all the time doing nothing but driving around in their nice chevy trucks. Can’t imagine there was too much going on that day in Winona Co.

I had a problem with mine when I would go to the set-up screen. It would flash a bunch of random stuff and beep continuously. It did this with all the memory cards. I could also not use the menu to reformat.
I formatted the cards on the coumputer instead and then it seemed to work fine. Not sure why all the cards would have a problem at the same time.
Nvermind. Will be calling Bushnell in the morning if I do not run it over with my truck first.

July 21, 2010 at 3:05 am #83686Does not mean he is eating. It is probably safer than if he is alert but he still could notice the movement and pick you up. I always try to pull back when they walk behind something or look away. I will do my best not to pull back if I can see his eyes no matter what he is doing.
June 14, 2010 at 1:24 am #82236My neighbosrs dog drug one off the road in front of his house on April 17th. Thought that was a little early. But I have been seeing some very large fawns even when I was turkey hunting.
June 11, 2010 at 3:22 am #82176Love the pics with the fawns. Here is one I came across trout fishing last weekend. Must have spooked them walking up the stream. Took a few pics and moved on.

Those two statements are ridiculous if they are true. And that is why I never call the DNR when I find something on my property.

UUUMMM…You could always do it the old fashioned way…Knock on some doors! I love talking with new farmers that I have never met. If you knock on 10 doors I bet you 3 of them would get you on their land! RR
Agree. Changing seasons is not your only option.
March 3, 2010 at 6:00 am #77925I hear them dumb birds gobble all year. Especially during deer season. Kind of weird hearing gobble gobble then.
February 17, 2010 at 5:25 am #77353Free deer stands for everyone! You would have to be real stupid to leave a deer stand on public property I would think. Not that I would take another’s deer stand but many people would.
