August 9, 2005 at 12:42 pm #377212The question was brought up at the Frontenac tourney this past w.e. as to what a calcutta is. This is a auction where each team participating in the tournament is auctioned off. The public is welcome to participate. The highest bidder gets that particular team. The money raised is paid out 50%, 30%, and 20% to the bidder that bought either of the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place teams. This pay out is based on 20 boats. If there are more boats, more payoffs. The aution is the highlight of the rules meeting evening.

June 30, 2004 at 3:31 pm #310678Sounds like a good time. The Gem is stoomping grounds for me. As far as the Diamond Bluff landing! It is a public landing with a 5.00 launch fee. There is plenty of parking about a 1/2 block from landing. Only problem is there is no landing dock. The shore line is deep enough and sandy so you are able to beach the boat will parking if you are alone.
