I sure like the E-Tec on my 1800 Explorer SS. Got a 19″ BRP SST on it. Turns 5300 RPM at 52 GPS. Probably got 12 hours on it so far. Runs like a scalded dog. Like rj said, you are on plane now.
I have the 150 E-Tec on my new Lund 1800 Explorer. Runs great so far. Got about 10 hours of run time on it. Rigged all the way down with a 19″ SST prop. Runs 52 GPS at about 5500 rpm. Enjoy
I just picked up my new Lund Explorer last weekend. I maxed the motor out. Put it in the water Sunday. That thing will flat fly. Highly recommend max HP.
How does a person get this correct the first time? I’m in the process of buying a boat in MN and I live in WI too. I don’t need this kind of mess to deal with. Any guidance would be appreciated.
I don’t own one yet, but if you want good price try Smitty’s in Lake City. Priced an 1800 Explorer there based on a recommendation from this board. He is getting my business next month when I order it.
You guys are great. I’ve looked at a bunch of boats and like this one. Looks like the 1800 is what I’ll be trying for. I will add the galvanized trailer to the list. Thanks
