Last year I posted too much info guys. Not being a jerk or worse and there are no secret spots but almost lost my partner so I post some pics but won’t give info. Just not worth loosing a friend sorry. As we all know fish hold in smaller areas and without a good guide they can be tough to find. Thanks for all the great compliments and understanding.

There are people out there fishing. There was 1 wheeler out there too. Either they were brave or crazy. An inch of slop on the ice and the shoreline is pulling away. If I were to venture out I would be wearing my floaties on my arms and my duck ring around my waist.

I drove by last night and there were people out. The shoreline is opening up at landing. you need to go out from the beach. Off the point the pressure ridge is open. No-one had any shacks they were all on buckets and there was an inch or more of slush on ice, There was 1 wheeler out there but if you ask me they were either brave or crazy. Off long point the channel is open. To the north off point no point there is open water. That is the best I can tell you with out going out. Hope this helps you alittle.

We were there last wknd and the open water near landing is getting worse. There are pockets to the north and south that are open all together. I will take a drive by tomorrow to see if it is even fishable for you. The ice with this rain may be pretty poor! You must go straight out at least 300 yrds as to the left of the landing is really opening up and the ridge is getting very weak and wide.
