From My experience Eskimo makes a great gear case, however, I was able to use one last year and found the cutting blade was far inferior to the Strikemaster. I have used all brands. Keep in mind for the most part they are all using The same power heads, the only thing that is proprietary is the gear case and the blade and auger. I have owned a lazer mag since its inception, as a matter of fact the one I have is one of the first ever produced has been absolutely outstanding. Again, nothing wrong withthe mechanics of any of the others, but when it comes to performance the lazer mag is hands down the best cutter.

I second Marcum, I have been using their cameras since tehy came out and I believe they are a better value. More importantly, I think they are better designed for fishermen. The case covers the entire unit, they now have a camera that spins inside of the camera housing, this means that the cable will not move when you turn the camera. All Marcum models have multiple lighting options included as well as the best ice fishing suspension going. In my mind hands down the best camera out there.

    Hey Duck Killer,
I have involved with the marine industry in some form or another for 10 years. A rule of thumb on financing is as follows: The dealerships can give you longer terms(as many as 14+ years) at a slightly higher rate, like maybe .5% higher. I have noticed the best rates coming from the Credit Unions and Banks at term lengths of about 6 years on average.
In general you will get longer terms and better rates on new boats. You give up a point or two when you buy used and probably will be limited to 6-8 year term loans. There are times at the dealership level that they become untouchable, I know Crystal Pierz marine often comes up with incredible financing terms in the winter time.
That being said I wish you luck, By the way i have a 2002 Ranger 518vx with a 2002 Yamaha 200 HPDI for sale and it is under $25,000. Give me a shout if you are interested. I have pictures.
