I will have him look but I don’t think there is a switch. I like it at low speeds if you take your hand off your motor doesn’t pull to the side and start spinning you in a circle.
April 7, 2016 at 3:59 pm #1612277Mine seems to do it more when my filters go flat and they don’t shape well to the maker. run a couple pots with no grounds it should flush a bunch of grounds out of the line.
April 4, 2016 at 9:25 am #1611425Does anyone know how the access at Frontier is this year? It has been a few years since I have launched there and last time I remembered it has a huge hole off the back if you go down too far.
December 15, 2015 at 2:16 pm #1584973Do you ever look at this site for smoking reviews?
When I was looking for one for my smoker I really liked the igrill2, you can have up to 4 probs which would be good for such a large of smoker you have. has Bluetooth capability so you can see it right from your phone. Amazingribs.com gave it a good review but it looks like they have a recent recall on their newer probs. not sure if that has been fixed it.
I ended up getting an Auber because it fit my needs and wants better however it probably wouldnt work as well for what you are looking to do.
Definitely cant go wrong with the BBQ Guru but I think its really overkill for what you need.
December 11, 2015 at 10:56 am #1583869You guys are acting like this is something new to a MN sports fan? I have started to find it comical that week in and week out there are new ways to blow games. The odds of us blowing a lead is high and the odds of us coming from behind are almost zero.
December 7, 2015 at 9:50 am #1582662I almost always have a Northland Forage Minnow on one of my dead sticks
November 19, 2015 at 12:07 pm #1578237For you guys that added a natural gas heater, did you notice how much it added to your gas bill in the winter?
October 21, 2015 at 12:30 pm #1572389such a waste of everyone’s time. go find people speeding thru school zones. Only logically thing i could think of she was attractive so he wanted a closer look.
October 21, 2015 at 9:25 am #1572327I don’t think I could ever “kill” a fish like that for a record.
October 20, 2015 at 12:08 pm #1572177You had a 4 wheeler with tracks didnt you? how did you like that??
October 20, 2015 at 12:03 pm #1572173Double your budget and get a SnoBear.
Plan B would be a ranger with tracks!
October 12, 2015 at 3:34 pm #1570442I have some bradley racks that I have been using for chicken legs/wings. they work great for handling the meats before and after the cook. I think they would be too small for a brisket but you could probably get some smaller cuts on them.
September 24, 2015 at 10:48 am #1567410Yes, I will be coming from Moorhead. Plan B was 71 to Olivia then over on 212. Im just a little afraid of trying to make up the extra miles by hauling knowing the kind of driver I am.
September 22, 2015 at 4:07 pm #1567094My dad runs a 90 on his 2015 1890, runs ok with one or two people but really dogs if you got a 3 or 4 people. If you are doing any tournaments or really long runs you are going to want more power then the 90. Its a heavy SOB and probably tops out at 33-34 MPH with a merc command thrust on it.
September 2, 2015 at 12:26 pm #1563554I just picked up a Brinkmann gourmet charcoal smoker at a local garage sale never used for $15! I’ve been modifying it so far and this weekend I’m going to season it and check how well it holds temp. Any advise for a first timer?
first cooks people say to do a meat loaf or a log of some sort to get some good fat and grease building up in your smoker. I think I started with a couple beer can chickens, they take any temps well and if you are all over the place with your temps they turn out good. Depending how much time you got you can do a pork butt too. that brinkmann might have a smaller charcoal pit so it might be a pain on some of your longer cooks.
the overall smoking process is pretty simple. hardest part is trying to get your timing down so you have some sort of idea when its going to be ready. allow a good 30 minutes to get your coals and smoker up to temp. and allow a good half hour (longer for larger cuts) or so to let your meat rest before you serve it.

^^ thats a good website for ideas and cooking temps.
September 2, 2015 at 12:15 pm #1563550I did buy one of these this spring and it works really well.

It does a great job of keeping temp steady in my weber. A couple knocks is it doesnt have a sensor like some when you open the lid so the fan will run while the lid is off. I have just been unplugging the fan cord before i open the lid and it wont spike my temps at all. also its alittle confusing to set your alarm temps right out of the box but I have it somewhat figured out after a few cooks on it.

September 1, 2015 at 9:31 am #1563264Has anyone ever used a Lyfe Tyme smoker? I see a few of these on Craigslist for about 25% of the cost of a new one. Maybe they’re there for a reason?
I dont have any experience with the lyfe tyme pits but from a BBQ forum they seem to be decent for the money. Here are a few reviews.
August 27, 2015 at 3:37 pm #1562304^^^ I agree, I have subscribed to Franklin’s youtube page. I remember him saying something about it coming up but I assumed he would link it to his youtube. I got some watching to do!
August 25, 2015 at 4:27 pm #1561667I have always told myself I was going to figure out 100 feet and add a mark with a sharpie or white out to give myself a ballpark idea but I have never found the need to. I dont like trolling with line counters they are too slow. Nice to be able to make a cast and give it a couple rips and im in the zone. Get weeded up or get onto a hot bite and it seems like it takes an entire pass to let 100 feet out on a bait caster without casting it. plus most of the time im fishing in the dark so I cant see my mark or the number on the line counter anyways.
August 24, 2015 at 12:51 pm #1561241Id say camping or some of them are toy haulers with the fold down back doors.
