Well There are a few lakes open in the East Metro..Tanners, Demonterville,olson,Bale Eagle,Jane,Silver and White Bear will be all the way open in a day or two but the lake looks lower then other years…

I have been out to pool 2 and getting a few..Nothing to fast or to big yet..I’ve had my best luck on a jig and minnow with a stinger hook to get them short bites..Personally I think the river is a few weeks behind…id launch up at hidden falls so you dont have to motor all the way up..With the Minnesota river is making pool 2 dirty id fish the confluence up to the Ford Dam…The Lake master chip has no info about pool 2 and I’m not sure about Navionics..If you want some more good info try and stop in at Blue Ribbon bait in Oakdale they all fish it and know it well and they might even have a map of pool 2…..Good Luck..

I was also down there on Sat..only caught a couple small males up buy the damn..I stayed right on the current break and just let the jig sit down there…im guessing another week or two and it should pick up..I will say it was a lot better then sitting on the Ice…

I will say The Griz dose have alot of stories and some great tips..He is a great guy to sit and drink beer with and listen to all the stories of who,what,when and where he`s fished..

He is one hell of a fishermen…I’ve fished with him a few times and he always put me on the fish…Ill ask him for some advise and he gives it to me straight and his advise has never let me down..Say what you will but you can not take away that he`s a hell of a fishmen..
