One last question. I dont want to sound like an idiot but here goes.
The depth chart shows “X” feet down and “X” feel out….if you want to get deeper would you just double the chart?

That sounds very helpful. My next question is where Im most confused. It is if Im pulling leadcore and I have a 15′ flourocarbon leader then my lure. If the leadcore pulls at 5′ approx. then the lure say a shad rap pulles at around 4′ to 9′, then how much would my depth be then….? Im pulling around 2 mph.

I typically don’t but this year Ill be putting a LOT of time on the lake. I usually go out of Hunter’s (thanks so much) and down out of the south. I have had caught a ton of nice eye’s and jumbos elsewhere but like I mentioned the north end is new to me this winter. Ive been out there boating a lot of fish this spring, summer and early fall this year! Ive also looked at some of the resorts on the north end photo albums of the past winters and there have been some nice eyes and jumbos but few and far between!
I know Ill prob go out of Hunter’s still this coming winter quite a few times and just venture back north toward night but would like to catch them in the house at night. I sure love hearing the rattle wheels waking me up in the middle of the night!

I too have an ice shack up there out of Red Door too! I actually had just purchased one and had it moved there this past weekend.

How is the ice fishing up on the north-end in the winter? It will be my first time “ice” fishing up there. I ve fished open water but not ice fishing there. I typically fish the East and south ends.
