Love my nils and wouldn’t trade it for anything. Wish I would’ve gotten one a long time ago. Save me many frustrations my strikemaster(s) gave me over the years.

Lake conditions are going to hamper you getting around. Was out there yesterday a caught some decent perch and a few stinkers. Spent most of the time digging out house and moving it to high ground.

Going to need snow machines or stay on lakes with plowed roads. Could really use some warm sunny days to knock this stuff down.

With the weather being up and down so has the fishing. Some days the bite is really good and the next you got to work for them. That’s fishing though, right? This past weekend we had great action for perch, tullies with some nice walleyes and pike mixed in. I’ve had the best action right at the bottom of the main lake bars in 28-32 of water. Find inside or outside turns, some little features always seems to help anyways.

I was up Thursday through Sunday and by far had our best luck on stop signs and hot tamales. White glow with the blood line and the gold back were by far the best producing spoons.

Many times if your line is coiling it was put on backwards. When spooling your reel put about 1/3 of spool on see if it pops or coils off. If it does flip the spool over and you should be good to go.

Nothing worse than when the line coils. I’ve been using pline ice line 2lb on my pannie rods and 3lb on my walleye rods.

If most of your fishing is done in less than 4′ with weeds. The FL8 will be basically useless. I’d highly recommend a LX-3. Superior flasher and way more bang for you buck.

I’ve had a 6.5′ x 12x King Crow now for 8 years and haven’t had one single issue with it yet. I’m not easy on my equipment either. I’ve seen many issues with ice castles and some others out there. Biggest problem with many of those houses are the axles and the way the wheels are mounted on the shacks. There’s plenty of company’s making them these days. Just make sure you research fully before spending all that coin on the one you want.

Almost certainly a faulty battery. When storing a Marcum for the winter months always remove the DCS charger and try and charge a few times during the summer. Or as I like to do it.. finally get to one for the 1st time of the year and 10 minutes later have to drive 25 miles to get a battery Do as I say not as I do
