Should be zero issues. I run a Lowrance Carbon 16 and an HDS 10 on my dash. I did switch to bubbles though so that I have plenty of room not having to worry about a windshield.

Where are you located and are you willing to ship? I might know somebody looking. Thanks
I might not live 900 miles away from SBC however I do live 500 miles away and they still get my business. If it’s important to work with a great dealership there is nobody better than The Boat Center. I’ve had issues in the past however if it wasn’t something they could send me a part to fix we worked out a plan to get them the boat. They are a customer first dealership and there is no replacement for that, no matter how far away they are. Good luck in your future purchase!
Interesting…I thought the G2 might have a little more pep on the top end. I messed around with a lot of different props on my dads 2060 and he now runs 54-55 fully loaded, 2 people and full fuel. Had some custom work done, only turns 5600 but hole shot is awesome!
Congrats on the new boat!
What is your dad running for a prop on his WX2060?
If I didn’t have the ski pylon bracket I would have done it like this drawing I have. I’m not sure what I would make the tabs out of but I would think 3 tabs coming off the back of the rod rack setting on the lip under the livewell lid would also work. I’d think you could adjust the livewell latch to still have a snug fit over the brackets which I’d think would be no more than 1/8″ thick.
I think our livewell setups are similar between the two boats. On my boat I have a ski pylon bracket mounted into the back wall and besides the ski pylon there is also a step that can slide into it. I used that step to mount my rack into so it is also removeable. Here are a couple pictures of the bracket but I don’t have one showing the step attached to the back of the rod rack.
I haven’t bent my tie bar yet (between 2 skeeters) but I do have a problem with the tie bar on my wx2060 loosening up all the time. I can say that my tie bar is tied into the bolt just below and to the right of that picture though. I will dig into it more after I get home from work today though. I also never disconnect my kicker from the main motor and I’m like you in that I troll 99% of the time. I run from spot to spot, put the kicker down and troll, bring the kicker up and run again.
I actually installed it this weekend and went for a run on the water to see how I liked it. To be honest I really loved having it back there for my rods. Here is a quick picture I took on the water and please excuse the mess!
I had mine made from a guy in Wisconsin. If you were to google MODOG’s runnin’ rod racks he comes right up. We talked back and forth to figure out the best way to do this on my boat and the step/plate that goes into the ski pole bracket worked best. He is very good to work with and I couldn’t be happier. If anyone would like his contact info I’d be happy to help.
Dean is coming out to fish a tournament with me this summer so he will be able to check it out first hand if it’s something you would be interested in.
Yeah James I had considered that in the past but in the 2060 I would have had to use one of the rear seat bases (floor) and I wanted the floor wide open to move around while trolling and to be honest I wouldn’t want to be moving it back and forth for ease of use when I got to my spot. It does seem like you system works good for you though!
I have never measured my 0-30mph time but I will for sure my next time on the water. I can assure you though it is faster than 6.8 seconds and I run all the time with a tournament loaded boat/kicker/and a full load of fuel. My current prop is a 19P reliance which is nothing special but works very well on this boat. I’ll post more after my next trip out.
Yes I have all of his contact information. He is on another forum a lot but I’m not sure the rules on referencing another forum on this site. I will PM his info. Thanks
Once you have the program installed on your tablet/phone you don’t need any service to use it in your boat. GPS service runs nomatter what and that is all that’s needed. I use the navionics on my phone while ice fishing in areas where there is zero cell service. I hope this helps.
I’m not the one making it but the person doing it makes a lot of these for Rangers (as you can tell by the picture) so he has a stockpile of carpet for them and Rangers Ash color matches Skeeters Ash Gunmetal color. I’ll post pictures when I have it installed.
I’ll post a couple pictures when it is installed but it will be similar to this.
I just sold my WX1850 but I believe my structure scan transducer was over more almost directly underneath your ladder. It should be just far enough off center that you can turn your motor completely and not hit it.
I will also be running an 18p reliance so once you start prop testing I would love to hear your results. I can’t wait to get back home and get this thing in the water. We just sold our WX1850 so this will be a nice upgrade even though I loved that boat.
We will be sure to bring a bunch of cookies when we come pick up our new WX2060. Of course that won’t be until the 3rd week of May due to leaving for work.
I told my wife that when I go pick up our new WX2060 in a few weeks I was going to hit up Dean for one of those nice sweatshirts I saw while I was in there. Sure hope he comes through for us! LOL nice boat BTW

Gotta ask the question…. I really like the sweatshirt, but I already have soooooo many black sweatshirts – will there ever be another color like light gray? (The new black hat would still go with the gray sweatshirt
Hi Frydog62
I’ve looked into colors other than the black we offer now and I can’t find a same/similar quality garment to the one we currently use. Finding a grey hoodie certainly is no issue. I really don’t want to put out a lesser quality hoodie just to have additional colors to offer. I will keep looking though.
James I could be wrong on this but when you go to the whitebear clothing website and look at the hooded sweatshirts with the 1/4 zip neck they have about 10 different colors available. Isn’t that the same one you guys are using for the IDO embroidery? If it is I don’t see why someone cant have whatever color they desire. On a side note the 2 IDO hoodies I ordered are supposed to be delivered today! thanks
Why not all 10 colors? Because we’re poor fisherman, that’s why.
Our minimum order quantity per color is around $5k. Do all ten colors and we’re sitting on $50k in hoodies. Ouch. I might add other colors in the future but it would likely just be the grey.
I would think just offering either black or grey would be great. Those are the two main colors that most people wear so why not cater to the masses. Thanks for a great product!

Sometimes things happen but yes this boat has never hit anything in the water. I haven’t seen this happen before and my father in law has an 1880 which he absolutely loves and hasn’t had any of the fiberglass issues that i’m having. The guys at Skeeter Boat Center were very quick to make contact with me and get the process started on figuring out what is going on in my case. They run a top notch operation and once I decide to sell this boat I will be purchasing a WX2190 from them as well. Any manufacturer can have a flaw when they produce so much of a certain product.
I sent Brent and Dean an email with this information and the pictures are easier to see on there vs here on the forum. There hasn’t been any impacts against anything other than the water. I noticed after this weekend it seems to be spreading though.
Brent/Sean,
I just wanted to get your opinion on what you think the real problem is with my recirc. It still won’t recirculate without shooting water up the intake with the turkey baster. Usually two good pumps from the baster and it is good to go but in a two year old boat I shouldn’t be having to do that. I would think if it was air locked it would be good by now but without the turkey baster it just runs and won’t recirculate the water. //Derrick//
Eric are there some that come back further towards the back of the boat? I think that will only block the sun being slightly in front of or directly overhead the boat. I would like the majority of the boat covered (windshield back). I know looking at other places they come in either 6ft or 8ft typically
