Just a quick note here about a new product form LC that is a little closer to home for some of us.
Legend Cartography has released a “LEGEND Lakes – Bemidji” Product that covers Lake Bemidji, Plantagenet, and Lake Irving (near Bemidji Mn) in 1ft HD contours. (private surveys) Over 1500 other lakes are included with standard mapping as well as your standard set of features; boat accesses, roads, cities etc.
This edition is similar to the LEGEND Lakes Nd product from the post above as its from the LEGEND Lakes line. A LEGACY version for you fellas who still use LCX,LMS, and H20c is available as well. Attached are screen shots from the Bemidji product and the legacy version.

I have had the same issue, but discovered that I have a constant current draw somewhere, like a radio, fuel gauge, or an engine something or another. Im not sure what it is. If I unhook everything from the battery between uses, it stays charged for what seems like an appropriate amount of time.
If I dont, and leave my Minnkota MK330 plugged in, every once in a while the starting battery bank will flick into charging mode.
I think I’m sold on the folbes.
Just need to decide between the sport track system or a set of tracks/rails now.
Anyone use the sport track with rod holders? Installed vertically or horizontally?
I see in that video those folbes are mounted on a set of aluminum down rigger brackets, it’s too bad they don’t move. Looked slick
Im starting to believe the crib assumption is right. Next time im out there ill run by the side of it and see what it looks like again. I did that last night but didnt get as quality of images as I did running atop the structure. Then again I didnt really fiddle with it much.
Those were taken while replaying my recording on HumViewer yes, so dont have any actual screen shots.
Teaser is right!! Thats exactly what Im lookin for.
The seams with so much ice that I speak of are subtle, as there really isn’t a whole lot current on the “reservoir” end of the stretches up here to begin with. (N of st cloud)
I ran a few areas this fall with sidescan so I’ve got a pretty good idea of where theres a bit of wood. Hope to give it a shot this weekend and see whats shakin.

I’ll post some results pending I make it out.
Yeah, both scenarios through the ice.
Current seams, behind bridge pillars, points etc.
When you turn it on, hit the menu button for more startup options. Start the unit in the simulator mode and you should be good to go.
I dont have any experience in a Snyder river boat, but I can vouch for the River-Pro boats as being something that any river boat buyer shouldn’t overlook.
That did the trick. Backlights are sync’d and waypoints are shared. Thanks Dan.

I think Tims Outboard in Nisswa (Might be wrong in the name) has all sorts of stuff. I’ve purchased some used stuff in the past from them. GREAT guys.
There are WMAs on my 10 and 11 , but I think any LM user should keep in mind that the WMAs are supplemental info and that LM’s focus is on the lake info.
Great link John, I think that answered my question of the motor being a little low. The cav plate is roughly level with the bottom of the boat, and while running it is under more water than the link suggests.
Thanks for the response guys, I have been using a 6’10” MH which even seems to be a little stiff for being a MH. That was my original thought with the issue. I figured “I’m not getting enough of a hookset.”
Turns out I don’t think that was the case. Those Gamakatsu 3/0 hooks shouldnt be too large I thought. They would barely encircle a dime, however as it has been mentioned maybe not so much the size of the hook but potentially it’s design. Most of the fish were in fact hooked right in the roof of the mouth and were a pain to unhook in some cases. I’m off to find a better hook. Or to at least put that theory to rest in my mind.
You must be comparing LakeMaster’s 2D card to Lowrances 3D information. Correct?
I would second the above. I see that the 917c is a compatible unit, however if you havent updated the software after the 1st of the year, I would put a dollar on that being the issue.
I believe you need to update the software via Humminbirds website after registering your it at the same place.
Living in minnesota and not being able to fish until June a friend and I have made a few trips to Iowa for some corn fed muskies. Shoot me a PM I may be able to help you out down there. I know from personal experience there are big fish in some of those lakes.
I think that was one of the bugs with the 334. One of the work arounds I have found is to do exactly what you have been doing. Its not the “right” way however.
Hit the menu button a 2 times, go to the chart option and check out the bottom of that list. If you have the depth highlight, shallow water offset, and the lake list options, your chip should be working.
I have a crestliner that just got a new vinyl floor. While replacing the floor I was able to get a good look at the inboard tank. A vent on both ends of the tank and a filler hose were the only venting/airflow accomodations in place. Thats on an aluminum tank that is ~18gallons
To add to that, I went for a cruise on the skinny waters of the Mississippi (closer to brainerd) and found there to be some new “speed bumps” in waters even as deep as 20ft.
