I always used to hang the rib cages when I lived up north. I am in South St. Paul now and still hang the rib cages in the back yard trees. I had three back there last year. Lots of nuthatches, woodpeckers, chickadees pecking at it all winter. Nothing but bones left by spring. I hung them out of sight from any neighbors to not cause a fuss. Most of my neighbors are deer hunters so they wouldn’t really care I suppose.

I had 55-59 degrees on white bear 4 days ago.

Maybe two or three weeks back I drove through the 494 launch on pool 2 and noticed a huge jon boat parked off to the side of the parking lot. Next to it was a semi with a trailer with “live fish” written on the side of it. I wish I would have walked over to check it out. It looked like it could have been sheephead??? I was surprised to see that on pool 2. It definitely looked like the type of setup you see on Bottom Feeders.

You guys ever try blade baits for lake trout through the ice? I have tried a couple times without getting anything but a few lookers. It seems like these should work fantastic for lakers.
