Im glad we sent 350 million to these areas. Thats better than a lot of other things the governemnt could do with it. I agree, I get awful sick of being Salvation Army to the world. But Iraq/Afghanistan is such a sinkhole of money that is just wasted that this is much better spent. 5 years after we leave, Iraq/Afghanistan will be right back where they are now. But, we might never leave.

Froma finance standpoint, the 18 is less of a deal than the 8. With the difference being $300 to $400, the 18 would have to help you catch 33% more fish. Thats not going to happen. So the 8 is a better deal.

I had a 10′ jon boat. I got so many laughs when we were on Mille Lacs and Leech. But it was so erratic, that fish just went nuts. You could NOT make that thing go in a straight line. You were jigging and trolling at the same time. Boy did we catch fish. When it was safe to go out as in waves less than 8″!

One year mu fishing buddy broke the middle lid out of my frabill kool keeper. That was the best thing that ever happened. It works way better now.

They work good. I guess you can grow yer own from corn cobs. We used them the same way youd use a waxie. Only thing is, they are kind of a one bite bait. One good bite and they are pretty ripped up usually.

The problem with no shopping at stores that anger you is that you will run out of stores eventually. Berkley rods look nice enough quality and not priced bad. They need to not be so stiff. Their UL is other manufacturers M. I`m not bashing cause their UL makes a good walleye jigging rod.
