I put a trolling plate on my 90 horse Johnson. Boat is a Alumacraft 170 Trophy. Without plate i also troll 2.8 mph. With the plate i seriously only crawl. It proves to be a little difficult to handle the boat in a strong wind with such a restriction on the motor. Im thinking of drilling a few holes in the plate to actually gain alittle speed.

Love to hear fishing has improved greatly on Clear Lake. Since i grew up on that Lake, it will always be special to me. Overall, where were folks catching the fish? Was it a troll or jig bite. Any yellow bass being caught during this tourny?
    Congrats on your win…

Come down to Lake of the Ozarks. Give it 10 days and our temps will be back up 50/60’s. Bring your minnows. Crappies to be had around brush 20-25 feet

Sorry guys should have been more specific. I will be moving my 90 horse Johnson to the new boat. Currently I own a 170 Trophy. Would like to stick with this style. Timmy, I checked out the StarCraft on line. Thanks for the info. Im currently restoring a 1969 StarCraft Starchief, great old boat.

Stayed at Wigwam this year. Stayed in lodge. Make sure you ask for the remodeled rooms if you stay in the lodge. Cabins were all booked. Not remodeled rooms are not good. Wigwam changed us to the new rooms when we asked. Our stay was good caught fish in the river all the way out to Garden. Cant wait to go back

The gas station is on the left side of the road heading North. On a serious note. They have a lot of tackle and bait, many grocery items. Awesome people in Northome.
