I run a 2017 WX 2190. I fish Lake Sakakawea in North Dakota religiously. I would never run any boat in 5 foot waves WOT let alone my 2190. It may depend what body of water. Lake Sakakawea puts out swells that can span 10 to 20 foot apart. In 3 to 4 footers I can run comfortable at 30 to 40 mph.
I agree with Ed. Propping your boat is huge. I run a 4 blade for this reason. You have much better control, response and typically a flatter ride at lower speeds. Therefore giving your keel near the bow the ability to break the waves. Try some props.in the 3 blade the stock 19 pitch tempest is a nice prop. I am running the 4 blade Rev 4 now. The Braves are always a good choice. You will know. You will be amazed at the difference!

I myself completey agree. The front bow pedestal really needs to be pushed back 6″ minimum. It gets clumsy up front in any windy conditions with the lack of foot space.
But, I love some of the new things Skeeter implemented into the 2060 and I hope they carry these changes into the 2190.
I am a guide in ND. I run the 2190 Skeeter. Love the boat! It’s a fishing machine and stays glued to the water! But with some of the changes I see its going to be even nicer if these are added to the 2190. Excited to hear the future!

I am a guide in the Dakota’s so all my results from any of my prop testings are always going to be 3/4 tank of fuel minimum and fully loaded boat. All compartments are stuffed to the gills. I don’t think the bimini top would have caused less rpm and speed unless it is actually open and being used. Next spring all of us need to grab 10 props each and meet out east to demo props and catch some big eyes! Call it the 2190 Eye Fest!…..LOL- Skeeter 20 you better get this one going…

Hi Ed. You numbers really suprise me because I run a 19 pitch Rev 4 and run a 5700 rpm pretty easy. Average speed on the lake is 54 mph. I had it reworked with cupping added and balanced. Before the rend work I ran 5800 to 5900 rpms. So it’s very interesting the different results we are seeing. Especially since I just have the standard 8″ set back. Not the hydraulic.

I think those numbers are low too. But not sure what the difference in elevation from Bismarck nd to where you are. I am going to try a 21m in the next week or two. I will see whatyou results are

I would consider selling my 4 blade Rev 4 reworked to ya- but my price would be $500 since I had it reworked…..I had Ricky from Brainerd props add a little more cup and balance it.

I tried a 21 Tempest & couldn’t turn it enough rpms….I think 5600 was best. I have ran a 19 pitch Tempest and ran a strong 5800 to 5900 rpms but lacked the bow lift I wanted. I think a reworked 21 tempest down to a 20 pitch would be the deal. My reworked rev 4 19 pitch does fairly well. Great hole shot, rpms 5800 top speed 54 to 55. I personally would like more top end and I think the 20 pitch Turbo or a reworked 21 pitch tempest down to a 20 pitch would be idea. My Rev 4 is basically a 4 blade tempest-

Hi Ed. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. Been a crazy couple weeks for me. Ok my Rev 4 reworked by Brainerd Props runs a consistent 54 to 55 mph and has awesome hole shop and excellent control in the wind. My rpms might be a hair low at 5650 to 5700 trimmed out. Overall I have extremely happy with this prop. If your looking for top end the best I have heard is the 20 pitch Turbo.

My best midrange had been the 19 pitch Rev 4. I had it reworked a little bit. Does well with hole shot, top end best is 54 to 56 depending on wind. I also have the 20.5 pitch LT Bravo which was good late last fall. I added the edge plate hydrofoil what a difference!

I will look at yours and see if it seems to be the same. Did you seat the hub good inside the prop? The black hun needs to be seated in the prop you.might gain 1/2″ to 1″ after seating the hub. Just checking…

Kevin maybe this is a dumb question but don’t you have a 300 yamaha offshore? That kit says 150/200/250.

Looks like the same hub kit I used on my 23 pitch Bravo fs. In fact i use thos se hub kit for numerous props. Should work.

Yes these are only the 2d sonar basic transducers glassed in both hummingbird and lowrance . My structure side and down scan ducer for my hummingbird is mounted on back of transom on a nice board. Room for more ducers!!!

Hi Tim. Ok I tried to get a picture but there are livewell and bilge pumps above the transducers. I can’t get to them to get pictures. These were glassed in from Skeeter when the boat was built. Did you have questions? Maybe I could get the answer if I don’t know it already.

Perfect thanks Low. Do you have the hydraulic jake plate or just the blue 8″ set back where you manually adjust between holes?

That’s awesome!!! Happy for ya. I do have a question though. Whem you say you dropped down from the 3rd hole to the very top hole I am trying to visualize this. Can you take a picture of it amd send it? I want to see if your setting is where I think it is.

Kevin did you get your Bravo LT yet?

Exactly. Blowing your prop out is wasting rpms and decreasing your efficiency. Lowering your engine will definately help all around performance. Keep us posted.

19 pitch Rev 4 all the way for your hole shot and mid range. I have seen 54.5 mph with this prop stock. Reworked I ha e seen lttle over 56. These are optimum conditions

I do agree on the 20 pitch Salt water series. I get similar results now that I have dropped my engine down one hole. We experienced the poor results in the original hole setting (3rd hole) where the engine was originally mounted.
On another note is your 21 Pro Series stock or reworked?

Doug. I wish I had better results for ya. 56 mph is the best I have got too. I run a re worked 19 pitch Rev 4. I did run a 20 pitch Rev 4 stock and 56.5 but only 5600 rpm. I tried a 21 turbo couldn’t turn it. Then a 19 turbo ran about 5800 rpm 54 pmh top. I think a turbo 20 pitch with a little rework would be a great 3 blade prop. Or you may get luck with a 21 Turbo. I am in Bismarck ND and all the guys I talk to running the wx 2190 don’t see much more than 56 best

Well I look forward to your results for sure. Do you ha e the hydraulic jake plate? I don’t I just have the 8″ set back. Which honestly has been pretty darn good. But appreciate your feedback! Have fun.

That’s awesome I heard about the new Bravo 1 LT. I. Actually running a 19 pitch Rev 4 reworked with the barrel cut down. Now I am getting consistent 5e to 55mph depending on load. 1 foot chop I have seen as high as 56 mph. Ran a 20 pitch Bravo fs amd saw little better top end at most 1 mph but less bow lift. Maybe this Bravo 1 LT right oit of the box will be the ticket!

Hands down 36 volt. I tell everyone the one motor you never go cheap on is the trolling motor. This is what makes your fishing experience even better. Do yourself a favor. You won’t be disappointed.

I own a WX 2190 and fish lake Sakakawea and lake Oahe. This boat trolls unbelievable in the wave/swells, on plane it handles and cuts through the waves nicely. Its an impressive big water boat!I have not heard much on the 621fs Rangers but I am sure they are good too. The Skeeter has a deeper interior and the open cockpit. The Ranger has the “u” shape storage system taking up alot of cockpit floor space. To each there own, we all have our own preference. I prefer the open cockpit. If you are in the Bismarck area I would be happy to give you a test drive. Good luck
