I have the Rip Cord on my bow and love it. My whole family and all my buddies have it also. There are a lot of similiar ones out there though.

Of course check out Mathews! I shoot a Mathews Drenalin and love it. Go shoot a few different ones at scheels or an archary store and see what YOU like. Getting a new bow is an exciting time. At least it was for me!

Yeah you have to burn it. What I did when i put my d-loop on was nocked my arrow and got it level. Then on the top of the nock and on the bottom i tied thin string around my bow string good and snug. Enough to not make my arrow move up and down my bow string. Then tied the d-loop on the outside of that. This way my arrow nocks in the same place everytime.

Last weekend my brother and I was after the same buck for 3 days in a row. I seen him from my stand the first two days and he wouldnt come within shooting range. I called at him and tried rattling. Then the 3rd day I let my brother sit there and he seen him and made a couple grunts to him and he came running within 15 yards and he made a good shot. That buck was in a different mood that day. Keep doing what you are doin!

Sunday night i rattled in a huge buck right before dark. It is the coolest thing. I also used a Buck Growler call from M.A.D calls. This combo seemed to do the trick. That buck was running through the trees as soon as I put the horns down. He came within 7 yards of my stand I just couldnt get a clean shot at him. Will have to get him next time. Make sure not to rattle to hard yet.

I rattled a huge buck in tonight. The biggest deer i have every seen. I had him broadside at 15 yards.. behind a tree. I pulled my bow back and all it would of taken is one more step and the arrow would of been flying. BUT it turned straight away from me and walked away. I just never had a good shot and didnt want to make a bad shot on him.
    HE IS STILL OUT THERE!

We always float a small river in southern minnesota too for ducks. We always start in the midmorning around 10 am or so. That way all the ducks are back on the water. If you go too early the ducks will be flying out to feed and wont be on the river

This reminds me of our opening morning last weekend. One of my buddies was in his stand early saturday morning and about 10 minutes before legal shooting hours he seen someone walking through the woods with a flashlight. We went and talked to the farmer after we were finished hunting in the morning and he said he didnt give anyone else permission to hunt. Havent seen him since.

My first gun was a single shot 20 gauge when i was like 7 years old but the next year my dad got me a 20 gauge remington 870 that was a youth. Thats what I would get her. I used that until i was able to shoot a 12 gauge.

Yeah if you are shooting high move your pin up. Shooting left move it to the left. shooting right move it right.

My buddy is just going to start bow hunting and i am letting him use my old bow. He bought a cheap sight. I think it was the Tru Glow site at scheels that was like $40. Its a good site for the price. Good and brite.

I shoot the Shuttle T’s. They fly the same as my field tips. A friend of mine got to shoot a bunch of different broadheads to test them about a year ago and he told me the Shuttle T’s fly the best out of all of them and that why I started using them and i love them. They work really well!!

I would think that you would have to lower the back site to bring your shot down. I dont know how you would do that though.

We cook them the same way!! It works great with the regular loins too. We cook them alot in the ice shack since its so easy.

I am about 6 feet tall and 140 145 pounds and shoot a mathews DXT set at 65 pounds. My younger brother bought a youth bow his first year and had to get a new one the next year because he grew out of it so fast. Dont buy a youth bow. I still have my old bow if you are interested. It is a Browning Buckhunter and it is a good bow. Its a 50-60 pound 27-29 inch draw. I just got i new one last deer season so I dont need it. Send me a PM if your interested.

They are both really good guns. I shoot a Benelli Super Black Eagle right now and I love it. Many of my buddies shoot the Nova which is a really dependable gun. A few of them have been on the bottom of the slough and river and still work great. Before you buy one check them both out. See how both pull up to your shoulder and how the gun fits you.
    Good Luck

I would use a .22. A shotgun will mess them quite a bit
