Tommy is probably the most intense angler I have ever fished with in my life. His jigging techniques are the wall of death! The man can fish, and teach. You will laugh your butt off and learn some unique fishing techniques.

Thanks guys, I ordered some reels and rods from Thorne Brothers and picked two St. Croix at Gander. Heck of a sale.
January 24, 2006 at 12:36 am #414024Hey thanks guys, looks like a good source for a lot of things. I have some pinnacle reels I love that need to be repaired.
January 24, 2006 at 12:31 am #414022Thanks, I’ll certainly give HOF a call. I need some sticks by this weekend though. Last minute louie here brushed the dust off the ice bucket that I havent used in years and just said that aint gonna work… going up to winni for a week. I need some stuff that is going to last some hard fishing.
January 23, 2006 at 11:13 pm #414006I looked at thornes sweatheart rods, but are they worth 20-30 bucks more than a st. croix? That is what I am struggling with.
January 23, 2006 at 10:34 pm #413994I dont mind spending the money for a good rod as long as it has value.
I looked at some St. Croix rods today and that price didnt scare me.

I have received a number of calls and have gotten alot of great ideas and best of all I have received alot of support to get this Iowa circuit going this year. I know that many of you guys are waiting to see what happens so you can decide your fishing options for 2006. I realize that time is of the essence and know that I need to work faster than a speeding bullet to make this happen in time for it to work for many of you. I hope to have a decision no later than the end of this week on whether or not I am able to pull this off. I am about to break the sound barrior, as I am working on several things and have a lot of leads. If I pull this off I will make an announcement on this site and most likely the Walleye Central tournament page. Again, if I make this happen, I will have a new website in the very near future.
Thank You for all of your support.

BREAKING: Unconscious fisherman pulled from Cedar Falls lake after fall through ice
By JON ERICSON, Courier Staff WriterCEDAR FALLS — Firefighters pulled an unconscious man from South Prairie Lake at Prairie Lakes Park this morning, after he apparently fell through the ice while ice fishing.
No information on the man’s condition was available at press time.
Cedar Falls Fire Rescue had been called to the scene about 10:15 a.m. after someone noticed a vehicle parked near the boat ramp, and a bucket and fishing poles on the ice next to a large hole in the ice.
Fire officials say the man, in his 60s, was transported to a local hospital. He had gone through the ice about 15 to 20 yards from the lake boat ramp.
Fire crews used a sled to slide out to the hole in the ice. They then used a hook to pull the man out of the hole. He was under the ice at the time he was recovered.
Rescue crews had no idea how long the man had been under the ice.
Prairie Lakes Park is at Viking and Hudson roads just west of the Cedar Falls Industrial Park.
