They seem to change model numbers and lines every couple of years, hard to keep up for a non skeeter guy. Can’t be great for resale when you buy a boat model and the number changes or it’s discontinued every 2 years. Tell me you have a 619/620/621 and I know exactly what you have, skeeter not so much……..

Your route isn’t unpopular, I thought the video was great. It was current and showed an alternative method of fishing Lake Vermilion on opener other than dragging a jig/minnow. If someone has an open mind they might actually learn something from watching his post, or you can polk fun if that’s your thing.

Jeez, no wonder the Lake Vermilion forum on here gets about 5 posts a year. Guess if it’s not an infomercial on Skeeter or Mille Lacs you shouldn’t post on this site. Anyways, thanks for sharing your report.

My Floe lifts have bump post as the previous poster mentioned, they are an option and help guide the boat in. Also remember your boat is not 96” wide at the bow, as long as you get the bow between the bunks they should engage the hull and guide you into the lift.

What kind of amenities are you looking for? Lots of choices from family friendly to just fishing or even boat in camping.

What species do you want to target? The two sides of the lake are quite different.

I prefer 2 smaller for the previously mentioned reasons. Another benefit is not having to swap between pages when you want to zoom, drop a waypoint, etc.

I have them on both of my outboards, the lock nut replaces the original nut.

It takes us about 4 hours on average to drive from Rosemount to Daisy Bay. This includes a stop or two for food/gas. If you are headed to the north side of the lake it will take slightly longer. Pine City construction has been the only issue this summer, but unless you hit it at peak time it shouldn’t be an issue. Enjoy the lake, fish are biting and the fall colors are showing up.

The lead core bite should be going good if you have the gear. Lots of spots in Big Bay, use your graph to find fish in the basin. #5-7 Shad raps will put lots of fish in the boat.

Nice video. The perch the last few years have gotten to be some true giants on the east end.

I’ve been fishing 17-20, but the areas I’ve been fishing only get that deep. Other areas like big bay the target depth may be deeper. Use your graph, mark fish before you start dropping lines.

Report back on your trip, good luck.

Should be good to go with the lead, bite is typically strong through the end of the month. Just use your electronics and mix up colors until you find what they want. Shoreline breaks and open basin were going last weekend.

I think that is right. I usually start hitting my milk run of spots the beginning of August, then pull lead exclusively until mid-late September.

Agree, lead core bite was the best it’s been all year for me. Both numbers and size. Headed back up the 15th, hopefully the bite holds out otherwise time to break out the meat and jigging raps.

Yes, you can run a separate cable from the 12 to the other two. I have a similar setup with two hds8’s connected to an hds9. If you put a mapping chip in the hds12 in can be used by all the graphs as well, nice feature.

If it were me I would definitely go with 2 smaller graphs. Put the bow graph on a ram mount or the hardware attachment of your choosing. Then put the same mount on your console. This way you can move the front graph around. When trolling or cruising use both graphs on the console, if your going to use the troller put the graph up front. The only addition cost is probably an extra power cord, that’s all you’ll need to run that unit at the console assuming it has internal gps antenna, run the other as sonar. An extra power cord and ram mount base is easily ordered an fairly inexpensive.
