I have been using Fireline on every setup I use now due to its sensitivity and low stretch on hook sets. I prefer to use the flame green color instead due to its ability to tip you off on light bites. I like to tie a 18″ leader of berkeley vanish to top it off. double uni know works perfect.

    Benny,

I wouldn’t fret. I have a feeling that no matter what day or month you go out with RD you will find the fish. Better yet, based on experience I think they find you when you are rollin’ in Daze’s “Fish Casket” .

Thanks to everyone for the plethora of responses. I am new to the Hunting scene and now to the culinary aspect of it.

Should be a good memorial day weekend. Tight lines to all of you fellas over the weekend hopefully each of our respective local lakes wont be too pressured.

    Best regards,

Keep the water you are cooking the vegetables in, do not drain it off.
Some people use chicken stock instead of water but it seems to add a bit too much salt for my taste.

I will usually cook the bacon about 3/4 done and drain off all the fat, then cut it up or crumble it in.
Some folks don’t but for me it better to cook it prior then drain off the fat.

Make sure when you add the cream or milk you have the heat on low, you do not want to scald the milk.

    Enjoy Fellas.
