    Tobin Lake is a hydroelectric inpoundment (dammed up in the early 60’s) about 150 to 180 miles ne of Saskatoon Saskatchewan on the Saskatchewan River. It is a 23 hr drive from Clinton, Ia.. Late fall fishing, there, means some monster fish! Do a search for Tobin Lake Saskatchewan. Here are a couple websites:

    Thanks for the reply, John. I appreciate the info. Enclosed is picture of a local river angler at Tobin Lake 2 weeks ago. The group caught several 11s and several 12s.

    Was really great to finally meet you and your wife. How many more things do you think we could possibly have in common? It’s even better to find out you’ll be back on the water soon. I’m looking forward to another great report. Hope to see you on the water.
