LAZY EYEZ. Again it is my opinion by all the issues involved. That Ted and his crew worked in an unsportman like manner.I would not call Ted and his crew tailpipers thats your word. My opinion is that they broke rules of Sportsmanship. If you had all the information you may have a diffrent opinion. Thank you for your thoughts

Great Job Randy!! And I’m sure you didn’t do what Ted did and go to others fishing holes and fish where they fished for three days! Seems Ted just followed the others and fished their tourney day fishing spots. How he can take any credit for what he found and did is really disgusting. JMHO
March 31, 2009 at 12:29 am #764007Opti 135 needs all the CCA it can get. Thats why I would go with a starting battey. If you fish in the cold cold freeze your butt weather it will pay off down the road.
March 31, 2009 at 12:19 am #763999I would suggest you use a Marine Group 27 Interstate Starting battery. Dean has them in stock if your in the area. This battery has plenty of cranking power for the Opti 135 and has plenty of reserve to run all your electronics. You may get by with a group 24 but with the Opti I’d go 27.
March 30, 2009 at 11:55 pm #763989Nice fish Doc did you get it where I told you to try? Looks like an Alma fish to me! Kind of looks like clean water like they have down in Alma, or so I hear. But that is not where I told you about? Also it looks like a heavy current fish as it has no belly. I’m sure it has been working out!
Doc did you see any snakes while fishing?March 19, 2009 at 1:34 pm #760251Congrats Pat AWESOME fish. Largest fish caught on the Mississippi? I have to say this is a congrats thread. Every one has an opinion. I have seen many fish this size brought into the resort for pictures. They all were released in the best manner. Not every has a scale in the boat.
EGO I dont think! This was a great fish Pat, you had every right to celebrate with a picture. For all we know you may have caught it right in front of the resort. It has been said fish do live in front of the resort. You have the right to catch a fish and release it if you want. Don’t let the negative comments have any bearing on your great day on the water. I myself have caught large fish and put them in the livewell for a picture later. Because we do this and then release them. There are more large fish for others to have a chance to catch and take a pic of a life time fish. Again congrats and dont it feel good inside!

March 4, 2009 at 11:50 am #754844I had been a very loyal Loomis follower. I owned about 12 Loomis rods.I was very happy with the Loomis rods. After being down at Everet’s and meeting Dean. He let me use St. Croix rods to see what I thought. Now I have St Croix. I love Dean’s customer service. And there are NO sport shops that let you try rods before you buy. Before you buy Loomis you have to try the new St. Croix rods. You won’t be disapointed.Customer service has been lost in most big sport shops. And Dean will save you from buying the wrong rod. Thank you Dean for all your help. No one cares about fishermen like you do in this area!!

February 17, 2009 at 4:24 pm #749458Steve,
The rules are the rules. You did the right thing. It’s never going to be good when someone breaks the rules. In this case the fish is lost and people get upset. I would say to you, thank you and that you did the right thing. Not everyone appriceates the river for what wonderful things it offers us. But one person now GETS IT alot more!

MarkMarch 12, 2007 at 1:05 pm #547730The Garmin internal antenna is awesome. I have sold and installed many of these units. Never had an issue with the internal antenna. It is your best option in my opinion!
February 21, 2007 at 1:08 pm #539574You are correct this outboard has been positioned for the salt water sea market. At this time there are but very few fresh water boats, IF ANY that are rated for this kind of horsepower.I am sure a handful of boat builders will be redesinging transomes for this new BEAST! Looks like the pros may be drooling at this power! Not so much for speed as you might think, but they haul a lot of gear and lures! And if your a good jig fisherman you can have as many as 3 extra people in the boat in jig weight!
