The lake has come up some, but still way down.
My 18′ Lund was floating in my lift last weekend.
The previous week it took 2 people to push it off the lift.
I thought I was going to have to put out another 8-ft dock section and move the lift, let’s hope it keeps raining.

They should be working on Liberty Beach, dredging and improving the access so we have a public access that works. I asked my neighbor on Mille Lacs why Liberty is stalled and he said they ran out of money. I have no idea who he heard that from, but that is the talk on the street. This is business as usual in our DNR/govt. That access should have been fixed for this opener, how much time and money do they need?

Fishing has been down around Picard the last few years, compared to what it used to be, because of all the tribal netting. My cabin is a half-mile or so south of Bobbers.

A few years ago in the fall, I was sleeping on my couch around midnight and all of a sudden it was like the mothership had landed in front of the cabin. The natives had a rig with big lights, a net like a snowplow in front of the boat, with 2 guys on narrow wooden platform extensions on both front sides of the boat. They then scooped eyes out of the plow net with long handled nets and thru them back into the boat. They picked up a couple eaters not 5-feet in front of my dock.
