If I remember (seemly tougher the older I get) it was around three years ago for me. CO on a sled. Everything was fine. I wonder why there aren’t more checks as I heard a stat that there are more than 2 million hours of fishing recorded during an ice season.

Was there as many people out there. That lake gets hit a lot. Good job on the clean up. Did you ask the CO if she tagged anyone for trash out there? I don’t get some people

As for the consensus, I agree with the 3′ to 5′ range. A good starting point. If clear at that range you could always drill another further out. In the permanant house the camera hole is in line with two fishing holes so we can see both baits, one is just a little farther.

Agate Bay wasn’t on fire either. Fished the weekend in 25′ on rocks/sand. Had three eyes swim through. Only excitement was a pout during the day and one in the evening and they weren’t big enough to bother cleaning. Catching 5″ perch is only fun for a short while. Switched lures/bait until there wasn’t anything left in the box. Tried for a couple of hours chasing holes in 34′ of mud to only find the same size perch. The week of cold is what we are blaming.

That’s a great way to start the new year. Did they make their flight back or did they stay an extra day? Don’t you wish every trip was like that? Looking forward to the pics.

The brother-in-law has bought some stuff from them. The prices are definitely lower. Just sort of wierd buying ice augers from a landscaping supplier.

I have a Cannon Powershot SD 630 and love the quality of photos. The camera will allow changes to the resolution at a touch of a button from super clear to everyday. The rechargable battery pack get you enough power to fill a couple of 1 gig cards. I have an older Nikon digital with all the fancy buttons and the Cannon out shines that for clarity and ease of use.

I agree with the others that your post was great to read. Did Rick hint as to the plan of action to limit the catch to meet the requirement? I am assuming the slot size but to what extent? Could be a tough summer on the pond for all if the slot was like the second half of the season last year.

I guess I didn’t get to the ‘GUESS THE SLOT’ post before I read this and replied to this post.

Good to hear you found them. I bet you were jumping when your Pa set the hook on the slimer. Good luck this weekend.

Very cool. With the clarity of those shots, I would think that it should be easy to find someone to publish them, but like you say there are a lot of people out there shooting (photos). Good Luck and keep us posted on the publishing progress.

I found a rock pile just south of Fishers (60 yards out from the shore) that read 1′-3″ on the finder and then my motor found out that my finder is accurate. Just a small nick on the keel, thankfully. If your GPS is reading 3′-0″ or less, stay awake and trim up.

Now that’s way out of the box. They don’t advise to try that at home.

I have been told that there isn’t such a thing as a stupid question but what if I only have two or three batteries and buy a four bank charger? Do you just cap the extra plug?

    Ben,

I was looking at the Guest type as they aren’t the linear type. Do you know what the amp rating is on your Guest model and how long does it typically take you to recharge?
