I own and run Salmon Chasers out of Two Rivers. I work with lots of other boats to line up multiple boat packages. We also have hotel lodging options that give discounted room rates for fishing with us. There are also many VRBO options for the group to stay in the same house. Let me know if you have questions. BK those are sweet, but if inspected and the batteries are expired or it won’t turn on when tested it doesn’t count. By us they still suggest having the flares.
March 15, 2018 at 12:24 pm #1759915What you will find is that the charters can do at most 6 people per boat. I run a boat in Two Rivers and if you compare prices you could book 2 boats here and get everyone out fishing for the price of just the guys going up there.

SalmonChasers.comMarch 15, 2018 at 11:32 am #1759902eyecatchum hit it spot on. Fish are hitting in warm water discharges in Wi but Michigan City and Indiana are better for coho now. Your lead cores will be fine. I started running 18ld lead I used for eyes when I started hitting Michigan in my Skeeter. Most bump up to 27lb for dedicated salmon gear.
Your dipsey rods are perfect. You could add 2 more of those and get them 1′ difference in length from what you have, that way you can run 2 at a .5 setting and 2 at a 3 setting.
I use braid for my high lines as well as riggers. Use snap weights and you are set. Cohos and most bows you are fine with. The kings will eat you up if you get a big boy, and we started getting 20lb fish by the end of May last year.

SalmonChasers.comJune 7, 2017 at 6:51 am #1697920Ya 7 years now full time, fun fishing before that in my own boat since 97 and with another guy starting when I was 5.
August 10, 2016 at 11:09 am #1633339Labor day weekend has been the start of the run in Two Rivers the last few years. A good rainfall causing current flow will really bring the fish in. Last year’s run was terrible up and down the wi shore. Cuts in stocking will do that. Strawberry Creek barely got their quota of eggs last year.
September 4, 2013 at 1:50 am #1192834No bueno James. If you are in Two Rivers look me up. Will be on the Salmon Chasers boat at Seagull Marina.
May 9, 2013 at 11:46 am #1169522Nice. We will be over today and hope to have the boat in the water Sunday.
April 3, 2013 at 10:53 pm #1159107looking forward to getting out there and getting the boat ready for the year

May 6, 2010 at 3:56 am #869740The night ban starts 10pm monday night. 12:01am sat and sunday night are ok.
May 6, 2010 at 2:08 am #869709Good luck. the bite has been pretty good. 21lbs on 6 fish won last weekend.
May 6, 2010 at 2:05 am #869707The Cabelas rods comboed up are usually a good option. Ugly Sticks work as well on the less expensive side.
May 6, 2010 at 2:01 am #869706I’m hoping to see some stable weather leading up to the opener. I think that will play a bigger role. The fish will be there and if they are anything like the eye out west on the border lakes, they will be biting good!
April 29, 2010 at 4:52 am #867745crappie fish a couple Brainerd area lakes, saturday morning on Gull. Sunday run over to Mille Lacs and join the masses.
April 29, 2010 at 4:14 am #867741It was another typical opener for sure. Got out there thursday night and watched the neighbor pound the white bass. Needless to say the cabin work got put on hold so some fishing could be done. Water temps were low 60’s. Of course come midnight Friday the wind and rain killed our plans to throw out the bobbers while hanging around the fire. In between rain we did manage to catch a few walleyes off the dock on saturday. Most hit shallow running cranks. The walleyes we cleaned were full of fat. Many also had small perch in them. The water is brown from the high water levels earlier as well as the wind. I think that will help the bite throughout the day. Water levels are normal. The weeds were starting to come up pretty good around the islands. No slime, but we did have a fair amount of loose debris, but the wind was blowing into our shoreline. Good luck to those fishing the Border Walleye event on saturday. There ought to be some good fishing!
July 3, 2009 at 6:21 pm #788292We were drifing spinners as you were beating waves on the way out. Saw you stop for a second and thought you might have had a change of heart for the day.
July 3, 2009 at 6:04 pm #788291I pull my 2050 with an ’06 Silverado 5.3 with no problem. 95% of the miles on it are towing miles.
James, have they got a rear casting deck add on yet? That was my biggest gripe when they came out with the new models. The rear deck in the 2050’s is huge and still allowed all 4 seats to be used, something no other glass boat did.
June 28, 2009 at 12:17 am #787064Just small chop today. I hate it when the anchor drags. Fish sure had the feed bag on. I think I saw Brad heading out to troll.
June 23, 2009 at 3:07 am #785881I fish out of Two Rivers and would suggest either the Willie Bee or Bald Beaver. Both boats have a good following and stay on fish.
June 19, 2009 at 6:09 am #785113I don’t think you found these 2, at least not yet this year. They were a mile or 2 north of you. They were both 20.5″ and caught about 100 yards apart.
May 19, 2009 at 2:41 pm #777850Thanks Jason. I’m sure we will see you sunday for some crappie action.
