If you read a tad further, this is a commentary on someone else’s column. He didn’t write it. Just reflecting on it. I don’t agree with the viewpoint, and I’m not sure he does either, this is a product of social media. You wouldn’t be arguing with him without it………………

And I remark to my wife about Mike and Dean’s pictures being still there every time we turn down to the resort. Thanks for posting the pic! Only a few of us understand the significance of those pics…………….. Hope to see you and Michael at the resort this summer, fall, or somewhere in between. Glad you and the RAT still have the horseshoe

Good to see you online, it would be better to see you on the water………….. Or at my camper! Don’t be a stranger when the air is warm Greg!

    Hmmmmm,

While I take exception to the gun contol platform that the issue presents, I don’t think that it in any way represents the way that Costas has presented the news, or sports in the last 15 years. Take issue with the issue, not the man reporting it.

Hey Dan, was one of the saugers in that pic the one we saw you ice after you snagged it in the tail in front of the Vermillion River? Talked to several other boats that saw you too, so please do tell.

It’s always worked for me to zip tie the button down and tap around the base with a rubber mallet.

So this long lining would also be pulling a split shot rig?

I think it’s like Sasquatch, I’ve seen blurry pictures that might have been it, and there was a guy in Georgia who claimed to have it in his freezer a couple years ago, but no one’s really sure if it exists.

    Willingham hit 29 last year.

Check his strikeouts though, he’s Jack Cust waiting to happen……………..

And the crappie boom on Red was the result of a freaky favorable spawn, not absence of predators.

I definitely feel you on this one, lost our buddy this past year and watching him go was as painful for us as it was for him. After twelve years he was a member of the family, not a pet.

More rope cleats! At least one at the bow and one on either side at the turn of the beam. And I’d advocate Richter anchor, much better in the rocks than the spike (have both).

I’ve seen several, but never one that big, normally they’re not big enough to eat. Seems to be a bit more common on 4 than other places.

Getting ready!!?? What’s your aversion to the cold Katman? Shovelnose and pesky channel cats free for the taking in all the walrus wintering holes down here in Ioway……. Worst winter i’ve seen for them. Got another shovelnose with an old rusty tag last weekend.

Absolutely. Pitch hair jigs for walleyes in the early fall! You can’t beat them off with a stick. I second Tom’s comment on the size, 20’s are not uncommon, and I remember dad with a buffalo that had to push 40 several years ago in the spring.

I’ll bet this happens more often than we’d like to think……… The bellicheat thing wasn’t an isolated incident either, just highly publicized because he was the first one to get caught.

Nice goat!!! Where were you at in Cali? NTC? For your sake I hope not, and remind the old man that we only leave their gas tanks empty to remind them not to let their fuel get old. If they take issue with it, they should be fishing more.

Ask Randy to show Junior the pictures of the time we hit it at 35 MPH and stopped dead. That should cure him. Dry sand on either side of the boat is mighty disconcerting, not for the faint of heart.
