7 foot MH ugly stik, 65 lb power pro, Daiwa millionaire 300 my line ended up getting wrapped up in my troller and my anchor line…..I didn’t have my anchor reeled all the way up.
Not to make excuses but I was by myself and like I said my pole was doubled over so getting the motor up wasn’t an option. Things just don’t work out every time. I guess that is why we get so wound up when they do!

I was drift fishing last weekend using fresh cut bait and as I drifted into the deepest part of the lake I tied into a whopper. All I can say is he felt REALLY nice! I fought him for close to 45 minutes before I lost him. I couldn’t get him to surface so I imagine he was caught up in a snag or just BIG?? I guess I will never know what it really was.

    Hello all
OK before you start bashing I don’t normally keep the big boys but they are draining the lake (I am not happy!) so I figured better to have them go to a good cause than to rot. I like to pole fish but the rules were relaxed so I ran lines baited with the biggest bluegill and crappie I could find. WOW—unreal….over 500lbs. of fish in 4 morning runs! The sad things is the crappie are big the bluegill are big and the catfish are big and the state says drain it!!
