I have a 2006 Honda Foreman ES. Absolutely a great machine. Until the ES started acting up. I need to install a new handlebar start stop shift switch.

On the way home I pulled off at Pontoon slough and enjoyed crackers, a coke and some smoked carp.
Baldwin Wi fire department had one every year. Usually the last Friday in April.
They haven’t had one for the last two years.
But, they are back on for April 29th this year.
While fishing for trout I was ‘questioned’ as to why I was using a spinning rig and had kept two for the frying pan by a ‘fly fisher’.

Balsamic vinegar or apple cider vinegar make a pretty good replacement for tartar sauce.
Blowing the leaves, twigs, dust and grass clippings off and out of the riding lawnmower at the end of the job.
Giving a little boost to the charcoal when firing up. Can be a little/lot dusty if you’re too aggressive.

Hormel made their first batch of SPAM since 1937.
The company has just announced that due to hoarding
by certain ‘sportsmen’, they are going to make a second batch.
Probably about 12 years old. My cousin and I taking our ‘B’ John Deere down to the Mississippi to fish carp.
We’d get a gunny sack of carp. Bring them home and feed them to the hogs.
There isn’t anything much funnier then a 80 pound Duroc running with a 5 pound carp in it’s mouth.
I also remember recap and retread tires.
My problem – fog lights are almost as bright as meeting high beams. I’m not sure why they are used on clear nights.
The Amery Country Store just south of town on 46 is pretty decent.
When all this is legally settled will I still end up standing in line next to some citizen reeking of patchouli oil at Taco Bell?

Every Friday the parking lot is usually 50% Minnesota plates.
I have stopped at Willow River Outdoors in Deer Park about 6 or 7 miles south of Amery on highway 46.
I think he’s been open about a year or more. Nice selection of sporting goods.
Seems like a decent owner.

I just took off my original Bridgestone Duelers at 103,000 miles. First Bridgestones I’ve ever had. Probably could have gotten more miles if rotations were performed more religiously.

So, in other words dozens of great fishing areas that are on ‘the other side of the tracks’ are now closed to walk in fishing.
It is pretty sad that spots where I’ve fished with my grandfather, father, son and grandson are now gone.
