First, the show is/was a success! Heard the term redfin at least once; didn’t know that they got that big. Most of those we’ve cought were under 8 lbs. Those under 5# (which we keep for the “pan”) always have great red color, only slightly less red than any salmon.

Still puzzled by the reference re Michigan and your reply “out of Grand Portage”…so you would have to be off of Isle Royale?? The background does look like the SE shore of IR.

Were most of your spoons set to run the same depths? If not, do you think (re green spoon) it was the color or the depth it ran?

Have mostly fished the NE third of the island by jigging or trolling with down riggers and dipseys; too much structure changes there (reefs) to run six lead core lines; tho I may have to rethink that. A five pound laker hitting a jig and gulp on walleye gear also is a blast!

Keep up the good work…and I mean work; I doubt most of us realize the effort and frustrations involved for the twenty minutes we get to see.

the muffs are fantastic I agree 100% although i do also use a very thin set of gloves bought from wal mart for $3. that with the muff is ideal for me.

I say move, if you see their pattern move to them.

Thanks to all for the timly responses. Seems like the anchoring issue can nicely be resolved with the “Waterspike”. I’m familiar with the Danforth style, and this adds that great sliding ring for difficult removal situations. harolde
