I would absolutely love a tree like that. Better than a regular Christmas tree.

Congratulations Jesse!!! Does this mount get to go in the Living Room?? Great job, I bet your day brightened up considerably.
October 22, 2010 at 3:28 am #89639Way to go Pat!! It was killing me to sit in my seat all day at work. Thanks for the pics and texts through out the day. Made me feel a part of the hunt. I really wanted to be there with you to track and find him.
September 26, 2010 at 2:10 am #86581That would be too scarey for me. When I hear the coyotes I can’t hurry back to camp/truck fast enough.
August 28, 2010 at 8:11 pm #68679Mine change with the seasons. Hunting season that is. Right now looking forward to Bow Hunting.
August 1, 2010 at 12:09 am #84145This is 1993 after Gut got me set up with a compound bow, it was recurve before that with no success. My first deer with a bow was a nice doe. The second year was this 7 pointer with a Martin Gazelle. There aren’t many nice deer in that area that we had permission to hunt and I needed to get deer under my belt before moving onto to bigger bucks. PIcture of a picture. No laughing allowed.
July 16, 2010 at 12:04 pm #83483Thanks everyone. Age doesn’t really matter. Also thanks to those of you who emailed me and texted me Birthday wishes. It is Friday……Thank God!
February 18, 2010 at 8:44 pm #77410Well I put in my request for a Benelli M2 Field 20 gauge. Just have to get it approved then the order will go through. Thank you for your opinions! it is on backorder but they are thinking there might be another shipment in a couple of weeks. I have heard it takes awhile to get from Benelli but it should be here before my turkey season.
February 9, 2010 at 6:44 pm #76994I haven’t ordered my gun yet. Is the M2 better? Is it quite a bit more expensive? I pay for all of Gut’s things so he should pay for mine right? Blush…..I like the way you think!!!! You can never have too much camo.
February 9, 2010 at 1:21 am #76939I have always used a 20 gauge with much success. I currently have a Remington 870 express 20 gauge. It is been a super gun for me for the last 16 years. Last year was the first time I had issues with it but I think it needs to be taken completely apart and cleaned and make sure nothing is broke. But when I was working Sunday at Gander I was looking at the fun Camo guns and have always heard that Benelli’s are a good gun. Might be fun to start the new year off with a new gun for Turkey season.
November 2, 2009 at 12:56 am #65831We will have to see what happens this week. I can’t believe the hog I seen tonight. He kept in the thick brush each of the 5 times I seen him. I told Pat I almost called him to tell him I needed more blood pressure pills. He was chasing a doe the first time then just cruising. The grunt tube or bleat can was not turning him around. I seen him every 30 min, the first time at 3:05. I hope to see him in the morning.
October 31, 2009 at 1:03 am #65692Haven’t seen any chasing yet. Have seen the bucks looking though. Hopefully things will kick up to high speed soon. I only have 1 more week of vacation then it’s back to every other weekend, for bowhunting. The does must be in hiding. I haven’t seen 1 doe this week. Only bucks and fawns.
October 31, 2009 at 12:19 am #65685Congratulations Stacie! You are having an awesome hunting year. How many more can you get? WI and SD?
October 29, 2009 at 7:01 pm #65448Well….my luck was definitely not with my on Monday. I missed one bigger than the one shown from that stand. It was closing in on darkness, he came to my rattling and grunting. He came up the trail raking every tree he came across. He came right on into the food plot. I had injured my shoulder and was worried that I would not be able to pull my bow back plus I was shaking like a leaf. This would have been the biggest that I have ever gotten. He must have heard the string because he reminded me of the movie “Bambi” out on the ice with legs in all directions. I shot over him, at least it was a clean miss. He walked off then met up with a medium buck who looked like a baby next to this other one. They circled around each other in the set aside field. I grunted softly, this brings the smaller of the two back into the food plot. I thought “oh god I am going to get a second chance”. Well he came to the edge of the food plot face on behind some branches then eventually walked off. Very exciting end of my night with a disappointing result. I hope I see him again with “LadyLuck” results!!
October 25, 2009 at 8:11 pm #64780As usual I was working. That happens when I have a full time job and a part time job you miss out on hunting. I was working at Gander Mtn that night. Now it’s on got 2 weeks of vacation from both jobs. Went yesterday and never seen a deer . Something has to give. Those deer will get stupid in the next two weeks. Time to
September 23, 2009 at 5:17 pm #59782Sounds like a great night! Stacie, good luck with your season. If you need to just get a deer under your belt take a doe first. It is so cool to get that close and know that you could have shot the deer.
September 20, 2009 at 1:59 pm #59165Congrats! on your buck with the recurve. Good luck in your other states that you are hunting.
September 13, 2009 at 5:23 pm #58143Great story A person always think that they are in shape until they hit the mountains. Congrats! on your whitetail. Did your heart speed up just a little when you heard the bugling??
September 13, 2009 at 4:58 pm #58141$700 is a good deal. I just bought my DXT for $859 but traded in my old bow which brought my price down. So far I am shooting real well with the DXT and love it. I am sure you will too. Good luck with your season!
September 13, 2009 at 4:54 pm #58138The “can” for doe bleat, grunt tube, scent away spray, extra release, extra rope for stand to pull up bow, range finder, Yahtzee electronic game (sound off) Will have my Thermcell
September 13, 2009 at 4:48 pm #58136Unfortunately I did not have my Thermacell I got ate alive. It will be going in my fanny pac for the next time I go out.
