9″+ gills for us that fish West alot is so normal you don’t think about it much. Chances of a 11-12″ are possible about anyday on any part of the lake. BTW they hit them on Millers on Sunday.

the fm guys where on millers on sunday not emerson?

looked up a rock pile on the lakemaster chip with deeper water surrounding and the rock pile kinda on a hump and i ice 6 good eyes from 5-630 before heading back to minnesota!

boji is a great lake to fish….the daytime bite was nonexistent for me though on the emerson side.

i wish someone could catch these fools, how come no one ever sets up a sting on a landing like leaving an auger in the back of a truck or something and hide in the weeds and wait to bust them?

that would be great to have a IDA goose hunt. Here in the metro it is near impossible to secure a field. I usually go down near windom but for early season the crops are in and there isnt much decent hunting till the corn comes out. I have a couple dozen full bodies and a couple dozen shells with motion stakes all are flocked heads. A finisher blind and bunch of other things to contribute. Also a 6×12 enclosed trailer. If anyone would put up with a tag along i can contribute to the hunt.

    thanks,

    Jason

get a clamping work light the ones with the 12″ shroud around the light bulb…add a 12v light bulb and hook to a battery,,,,viola.. it puts out a lot of light and a little heat too.

stopped by last night and seems once a couple perms get out there…(when it rains it pours!!!) there are a lot of people out there now with perms, portables, wheelers, and trucks are parked on the ice. A lot of traffic last night on the lake, no trucks driving on the ice but a lot of atv’s. If you come from the north sportsmans access there is a nice wide packed down road that everyone has been taking out there LOL…

i would say it would struggle with the last 5 holes, but they cut good and no gas, no starting, no mess….

I have a 7 inch electric, it is a stike master lazer electric without the battery. Check this, i got it brand new from a pawn shop in storm lake, IA for 75 dollars cash BRAND NEW IN THE BOX!!!!! that is $300+ auger…hahahaa

Back to your question, they are like a hot knife through butter if you have the lazer model. Just use a small 12v vexilar battery or similar and you can cut quite a few holes in little time. It is perfect for early ice and/or in your permenant fishhouse. GEt one you will not be disapointed unless you want to go through like 2ft ice, it will do it easy but battery will become and issue if you are drilling alot of holes, unless you have a deep cycle or a 4wheeler to jump cables off of.
