Has anyone been trying tip-ups for pike out on the lake? With panfish hitting slow, I was thinking that there may be a few tip-ups out. Good luck staying warm tomorrow to all.
It seems as though yesterdays “warmer” weather did thin the ice too much. This morning there were a few people at the end of fisherman’s road going for sunnies. The ice was thick enough (a little over 2″), but the fish weren’t. May there be better luck out there in the upcoming days.
It is very unfortunate to read what I am reading. I have seen the same thing for the last couple of years at the “rock wall” just before stodard. In addition, I see a ton of littering. What would be an easy way to get the correct people to know? I’ve tried to tell the fisher-person that the fish was too small, but I got the feeling that they didn’t understand me. It is all too bad.
I got a chance to get out this morning and did well in the stump fields. In about 2 hours with two people, we got 2 northens, 3 bass, and 1 walleye. All were of legal size. We lost at least that many also. The weeds are getting thick out there. As for panfish, we tried without any luck. Good luck to all that get out.
For those of you who were wondering about the tourney this weekend if just got some info on it. The weigh in starts at 11 to 3 p.m. The tickets are $2 or 3 of 5$ for the raffles but I believe that you need a ticked to put a fish on the leader board. The weigh in is a Red Sails, I think at the same place as the tourney two weeks ago. That is all that I know. I hope I helped out some. Good luck to all.
Does anyone know anything about the fishing tournament that is happening on Lake Onalaska this weekend like entrance fees, times, and location. Any info would be of great help.
