best part of that article!!!! I would move there with a chief like that!
just go buy a stainless hitch and ball and forget it on the truck wd/40 on the receiver once in a while
try looking for a pile strewn around the shoreline, just look for the circling fly’s
I had a spot where a horned owl lived first time he stole a fish scared the heck outta me threw him a fish or two every time we went back got it on video he would get close about 15 feet i you sat calm and didn’t look….
North of Virginia the wolf population is completely out of hand. hunting season and trapping will have little effect the numbers the only way they will start dropping in number is when the moose and deer get whittled down to nothing. I am not sure how far off that is..
I currently own both units, if I had to pick only one it would be the flx-28
mainly because its fast easy and the target separation is the best, the
lx7 was my go to for the last several years and its great in deep water for eyes but sucks shallow for panfish.. had lots of issues with the 7 lots of adjustment issues and interference and I’m on my fourth transducer they are fragile and marcums systems for carrying the units suck
I feel that when people choose to fly an American flag they convey a message about how they feel about what that flag represents. Most times I get the feeling that a person wants convey pride and respect. sometimes people fly old tattered flags and send a message of neglect, sometimes blatant disrespect. I enjoy seeing people taking the time to have a flag set up on there house. lit or unlit, it shows they care about this country. should it be lit? id say yes if its practical to do so, if not just send the right message.

have the lithium shuttle as well.
Have had a tons of problems getting it to read right. seems like every time you fish different depths or bottom hardness you spend 2-3 min messing with buttons to get it set, that’s if it can find its brains. fishing in shallow water with weeds… don’t even bother! I have always been a Marcum guy and I have not left yet but I envy the flx-28 guys for sure.. my buddy got a shuttle for his lx-6 last year and it has lost all its juice. lasts half as long as my new one on the lx-7 the batteries of the shuttles seem to be garbage! very unfortunate for $250 I have been a loyal Marcum guy for a long time but if my shuttle stops working just out of warranty and they do not make it right I will be DONE FOR GOOD with Marcum.

if you want accurate info on the river you have to get it yourself. Fishing the river can be challenging to say the least, and as soon as a hot bite is found people flock to it and kill it quickly… best advice I can give you is travel light cover water and if you don’t get action move and try something else. and if you find a hot bite don’t tell anyone. I know lots of guys that carry fish in the pockets of there bibs back to the covered bucket so people don’t see them catch anything. also a float suit comes in handy ice fishing the river lots of areas that have thin ice that gets hard to see after a snowfall learned that the hard way! almost punched my ticket, got two close to a wing dam I knew had bad ice but could not see it because the fresh snow. went through up to my armpits caught myself on the edge of my portable. current swept my legs under by the grace of god pulled myself out.
if the fish is gut hooked
Take a pair of dykes and just cut the hook out as best you can without ripping and tearing. odds of the fish surviving with part of a hook stuck in his gullet are much better than if you take the pliers and start ripping the hook out also on a rattle reel you should not use a treble I have found the wide gap or circle hooks tend to work just as good if not better.
Call Humminbird customer service they will most likely be a lot more help than Lawrance! the reason I completely switched over to all humminbird was %100 because the lowrance customer service was so frustrating to deal with
This thread really seems shot sided! It is not really fair to pigeon hole tribal business owners for the netting of fish that they may or may not personally have anything to do with. You guys are acting like they are working the system and getting all the breaks, but a short drive through the rez it would seem to me many that many people could use a little income. Many resort/local business owners where living high on the hog for a lot of years and catering to millions of anglers! that pressure defiantly takes its toll on the fishery just as much (if not more) than netting! I love fishing the pond and will continue to do so regardless of missing out on a fish fry at the end of my trip. This is a mess of a situation and both sides have valid augments and both sides could do a lot more to conserve the fisheries and its defiantly to bad that everything has to be about sides!!!!
(Also we’ve come to a point where a young adult could enlist in the military but isn’t able to purchase a firearm?)
coming from personal experience the worst part of it was not being old enough to by a beer for the first 3 years of my enlistment!
And don’t act so surprised, this country was founded suppressing civil liberties and its been a work in progress ever since.
I am all for gun rights I own many and most are “assault” style rifles/pistol/sbr’s set up for home defense/personal protection.
However I find it Overwhelmingly ridiculous that in order to ride a snowmobile or hunt you are required to take a class and get certified
and any dumb a$$ with absolutely no experience or training can go buy a weapon that makes no sense to me. I would be perfectly fine if people where required to complete a firearms safety course in order to buy a firearm.
take it to a heated coin op car wash and hose it out with a heated pressure washer would solve lots of problems at once avoid areas with seals and wires tho
Oh come on a little figure skating wont kill you JLD… I enjoy it because of the grace of the skaters and the beautiful pageantry of the costumes! its all about the showmanship really! just MAGICAL!
….If you hate figure skating so much why are you so distraught over all the commercials?

For me, I found that a full power 300blk in a 7.5″ pistol, is a wonderful substitute for a shotgun zone deer gun.
You can do this in MN?

Don’t let the secret out.
X2 I do this as well with a 10″ barrel inside of 200 yards it very hard cal. to beat!!! it packs a little more punch than the 223 and also lots of hunting bullets to choose from in 30Cal.
I don’t know guys, i know there’s plenty nice ones in there! These are from last winter
HAHAHAH DID they leave in buckets?
“the resorts got together and agreed to open and close together at the same time to avoid the race to be the first to open?”

Very Hard post to read, It made me look very hard at all the risks I have taken and close calls I have had and how easily this can happen. I ordered a new Coast Guard approved float coat and will be taking more precautions this season.
My heart goes out to the family and friends.
get yourself an ION with reverse and send all the slush out the bottom. best thing I have bought for that house. makes setting up so much easier had the 5 gal buckets cut for the holes used a year and got sick of them and bout the catch covers worth it!!
Hey fellas some buddy’s and I are trying to plan a ice fishing trip to the Canadian side of LOTW in February, I would like to target some Lakers and walleyes. None of us have ever been to the Canadian side so I was hoping for some suggestions. Best resorts/outfitter to stay at without breaking the bank… too much.

things to bring or leave behind rules..etc.
I have the Milwaukee fuel and my old man has the dewalt.
I have used both quite a bit. I like the fuel because I get a bit more battery life out of it and it works great and the handle works fine as well. sucks to hear about the poor customer service you had with Milwaukee.
The dewalt really chews thru the ice fast! tons of power, however it chews thru the battery’s fast as well
Am I the only one who shops around for the best deal/price, regardless of where it comes from? I would prefer to support the local/little guy, but if ma and pa mark up the product I am going to buy from the cheapest place I can find.
I buy lots of hunting, fishing, camping and outdoor gear and if i didn’t deal hunt it would really add up!
