I would rather shoot a deer that looks cool and you enjoy looking at the rest of your life than the buck that can score higher because of fewer deductions. I just look at deductions as character. Just my opinion. Both are great looking deer. Good luck getting either of them.
July 31, 2016 at 1:26 pm #1631595I’m guessing you will have more activity in your clover plots than you saw last year. They are looking great.
July 23, 2016 at 3:04 pm #1630480I’m a metro shore fisherman who loves to fish drop shot. I would love to see just how far you can push the limits of how to present a drop shot rig. Try targeting different species from different types of terrain resulting in using unconventional setup. Like working super dirty water through brush piles on heavy braid spooled on bait casters to super clear water site fishing on ultra lite setup.
July 17, 2016 at 10:13 am #1629438Sorry, I can’t seem to get a picture to be in the correct orientation anymore. Even if I flip my original picture to fix the mistake it just makes two mistakes.
May 9, 2016 at 8:59 pm #1618390I put mine out w few weeks ago but haven’t checked on it yet. Can’t wait to see what critters are moving around.
May 6, 2016 at 5:49 am #1617663Good luck with all the prepping and planting. They look great so far.
April 3, 2016 at 8:38 pm #1611337Has anybody used any swimbaits from Z-Man like the Diezel minnow? They look like they can handle plenty of toothy fish before they would get shredded.
April 3, 2016 at 8:08 pm #1611328Holy crap where do you keep them all? Do you find this many every year?
February 29, 2016 at 6:23 pm #1603187This looks a lot like the Spider Slider. I plan on getting one of these thus year too.
January 27, 2016 at 3:27 pm #1596029So the Does should continue to use the scrape as seen in the photos but it would be rare to not expected to see a buck do it? If a buck is using the branches or the little tree it would be just for social behavior not breeding.
December 3, 2015 at 7:32 pm #1581832I just picked up a jar of James Valley Scents Full Rut. I’ll be putting it to the test on rifle opener with my bow in hand. I’ll give an update in a couple of weeks.
I used this on a couple of twigs on trails neae shooting lanes. Before legal light I had a nice buck stand at the base of my tree for a while. Then he went from one scented twig to another. He was activity searching for the deer he was smelling. He didn’t hang around long enough for me to be able to see the pins on my bow.
I also made a mock scrape for the first time in front of my camera. I used the JVS on the licking branch and in the dirt of the scrape. If I get any pictures I’ll add them to this post. I will continue to use it until I have a negative response.
November 13, 2015 at 5:52 am #1576943This is the biggest buck I have on camera. He survived the at least the first day of the rifle season.

October 16, 2015 at 10:57 pm #1571517Every time I go hunting. I don’t hunt enough to spend even an hour at the cabin.
I typically start hunting around mid October.October 13, 2015 at 5:57 am #1570614Great job Kooty. That is a buck I would be proud to have hanging on my wall.
October 12, 2015 at 12:02 pm #1570363DT. Did you see anything? Were you close to home or way up north?
October 8, 2015 at 6:00 am #1569525I used the camera last Saturday and it was fun to try it but I don’t think I will bring it with me in the future. The deer were smaller than I was hoping for and I did have to adjust my shoot style to keep the deer in frame after the shot.
I will put full attention on harvesting an adult buck or doe and not worrying about being a camera man.
October 2, 2015 at 5:49 am #1568706I have it set to 1080p 30 fps narrow. I also picked up a Lumenok to help follow my arrow flight this year. This should also while filming if I get the chance to shoot a deer.
I’ll be going hunting this weekend and will see what happens.September 19, 2015 at 10:45 am #1566667Grim Reaper Razor cut SS. It destroyed a deer 2 years ago. The blood loss was like nothing else I have seen. It looked like a cup of blood was thrown on a tree as the deer ran by. The blood ran to the base of the tree by the time I drug the deer out. I also shot a deer with a Rocket Hammerhead last year. No complaints, just not the same as the Grim Reapers.
