and just to clear things up, Minnesota does not have a conceal and carry law. We have a “Permit to Carry”. which allows us to carry a firearm (pistol or long gun) open or concealed.
Just an FYI is all.
Not exactly. We have a,(a direct quote from the permit), “State of Minnesota Permit to Carry a Pistol” . It allows us to carry a handgun either concealed or not.
October 5, 2011 at 11:05 am #999160NAFC is in reality NOT a club, but a 3rd rate magazine that uses the promises of great give a ways as a selling point.
They also publish the Handyman, North American Hunting and Motorcycle. All are pushed at being clubs with the same promises of give aways.
September 22, 2011 at 11:52 am #996540Since it shows on the dash this it is one, I would have to say that it’s the switch on the column that is bad. Had the exact same thing happen to mine last month.

June 15, 2011 at 12:25 pm #106815Anything about other states? I find myself in WI almost as much as I am in IA.
May 26, 2011 at 12:31 pm #969242I have found that the big box stores rarely compete price wise with my local gun shop (Hart Bros in Albert Lea). Sure, sometimes Cabelas has a super sale on something, but they always seem to have just sold the last one when I get there. So the last 5 or so firearm purchases I have made went to the local guy. Future ones will too.

Fishing in Albert Lea has been slow so far for Eyes. Not much happening at all. Spent 5 hours out today. Caught Channel Cats, Small Northern’s, perch and sunfish. So it wasn’t a wash, but they were not jumping in the boat.
April 12, 2011 at 11:17 am #956265I’ve been on a Temperpedic for 8 years now. When it’s time to get a new mattress it will be one of the memory foam mattresses again.

To all saying the same thing, I thank you. (I) We all earned what benefits we have. Didn’t win a lottery or anything even close. Most gave up the best years of their youth and trust me, Military service ages one fast.
So again, thanks for supporting us.March 23, 2011 at 11:32 am #102962Quote:

March 22, 2011 at 12:18 pm #102865OK, I went outside in the downpour and retrieved the target from my Jeep.
Keep in mind that I centered my sights on the head of the turkey and it was on a large cardboard backing.
I counted 192 holes inside of the larger circle I drew. So there are @ 250 0r so holes inside of a 10″ area.

I usually measure mine at 40 yards and within a 10″ circle so my comparison may be hard to grasp. TO me an acceptable pattern will be over 100 pellets in the 10″. My sons 20 ga for instance throws 170-192 with HTL loads (100% modified gun). I get an easy 200+ with my 12ga with a simple extra full and no machining.
If you have your targets draw a 10″ circle around the best part of your pattern, and count the pellets. One thing to look closely at is holes in the pattern, areas with no hits. A turkeys head is always moving, and you’d hate for that moving head to find that hole.

I’m going to give that a try. Exactly the info I was looking for.
With out getting a tape measure out, I think the pattern spread was @ 18″ at 25 yards. I will admit that i am not a shotgun person. Pistol/rifle I know what to expect out of ammo. To me the Kent round seemed to be consistent in the spread, but what do I know!
I’m going to also take the Target to Hart Bros and see what he thinks. He told me if I wasn’t happy with the full he would swap it out for an Extra full.March 22, 2011 at 11:40 am #949489A completely separate folder for Politics would not bother me as I would be under no obligation to even venture into it.
As for wanting one. Not for me. Don’t come to a fishing forum for that. Unless it legislative issue that affect hunting/fishing type laws.
March 7, 2011 at 8:13 pm #944842I put more miles each year on my Harley than I do on my 4 wheel vehicle.
Do you want to ride? For some the idea of riding is appealing, but once they actually start riding they find it isn’t what they thought it was. Riding is a physical activity. You have to ride ahead of your self and be very alert all of the time. As already pointed out to you the large majority of drivers do not look for and hence do need see motorcycles. Every time you see cross traffic you have to automatically assume that it will just pop out in front of you.
Riding can also be very therapeutic. There is a saying that you don’t see many motorcycles parked in front of a shrinks office!
You won’t save on fuel costs in the long run once you add up the cost of ownership. But if you are willing to ride in most weather you will lower the amount spent at the pump.March 2, 2011 at 12:32 pm #942886Oct 79-Feb 80 B12 Fort McClellan

August 18, 2010 at 10:05 pm #894312Although not the most fancy of all trailers, i like Carry-On. Prices are half of allot of other brands.

That’s great news. Also (and maybe you know this already) there is a new program in MN where disabled veterans get a huge discount on property taxes, in some cases you can pay nothing at all, depending on your disability and value of home.
Let me know if you or anyone else reading this needs more info.
Yup. Due to the value of my home I no longer pay property taxes. Have a lifetime fishing license and small game with deer tag each year although I have not used the hunting part until this year.

July 4, 2010 at 11:28 am #884392I see you were fishing the channel.
Once upon a time it was the best kept secret in MN. Fish Kill few years let the word out about all the hawg eyes in Albert Lea, Lake.
June 19, 2010 at 1:44 am #881238I am part of the local Salvation Army EDS team. Went in last evening at 6pm and stayed until midnight. Went back in this morning at 6:30 and left at 4:30. Same tomorrow.
In the SC area most of the damage was rural. Not that it’s good, but the twisters missed most of the populated areas. 28 touchdowns in Freeborn County (Albert Lea). Allot of farms are gone. One death, 13 injury’s. Will be a busy week ahead.
May 24, 2010 at 12:25 pm #874259NICE!
