I’ve been out a handful of times since this post. Haven’t caught anything that was anywhere near a keeper. I actually caught a perch out there last week which was surprising. Now I feel bad about keeping that black crappie a few weeks ago. It seems like all the fishing holes in Rottenchester are way over-fished. Went to Silver Creek today and didn’t even get a bite, which marks an 0-2 record of anything happening at that spot. I almost like KR7 just for the fact that I can at least catch something there just to have some fun. I’m making a vow to not keep anything I catch in Crotchester from here on out.

Awesome, thanks! Hopefully the people in the neighborhood don’t mind random cars parked on their street. I think I’m going to check it out tonight and see if I can bring anything to shore.

Can someone help me out and tell me where I can park at Cascade Lake? I’ve been wanting to check it out but have no idea where I can park and walk from. Thanks!

Yep, you were right about catching a lot of small ones out there. However, on my first cast of the morning I caught a nice 11 inch black crappie that probably weighed a little over a pound. He made for a good lunch too! After that it was one after another of the small guys. We were catching sunnies, black crappie, and even a few TINY SMB on pretty much every cast, and I was just using a small pink tubular body on a yellow jighead. My buddy and I both probably caught around 30 fish each. We also kept a few of the sunnies that were big enough, but very few. Can’t complain about catching fish just because they were small, so it was a fun morning at Kr-7! Here’s a picture of the tasty little fella…

Shorefisherman, what type of bait were you using out at Silver Creek? We were just using minnows and couldn’t get even a nibble in an hour’s time.
