I have a friend who has one of these for his kid. He is a machinist. He has had the safety apart several times trying to figure out why its always a problem? He has given up on it and is trading it in on something different. Sorry for the bad news. This is very frustrating.

I used to fish tournaments along side Tom when The Red Man Series was around. He is one of the best! I have alot of respect for him, as should all fishermen. Tom was out to succeed, and he did. I am not sure on the B.A.S.S. issues? I do know this, he is a great guy and an awesome fisherman.

Gophers are the most over rated team that I have ever seen! I have never seen a below average team get a number 1 seed in their own back yard? It’s rigged! I hope the Sioux kicks the [censored] out of them!!!

I spool the line on and then go to the local park or a large open area where I can run the entire amount out. Drape the line over a tree branch so it can unwind as you retrieve it. It may take more than once, but it works well for me.

My 2 cents! What happened to courtesy/respect? James, Dustin, and several others post information for everyone to read. This lets everyone know what’s going on. This does NOT mean that you go out and follow, harrass, and/or crowd these guys or anybody. I watch other fisherman just like everyone else. The thing that I do that most don’t is when they catch a fish, I don’t motor over to crowd them out. I make a mental note of where and when and check it out later.

I feel that I can catch fish anytime and anyplace. I do not think that I know everything. I observe both good and bad habits.

The river is huge. Find your own spots!

Spant all afternoon on pool 3. Put in at Prescott, and worked several miles south. The water clarity from the St.Croix was awesome. I fished wingdams, eddy’s, points, and deeper holes. 0 fish??? I thought it would be as good if not better than pool 4. Only saw a handful of boats. I’ll have to see the reports on pool 4 to see how they did.

The only thing that I got was a parking ticket from the City of Prescott.

Even though I am a non-resident to Iowa, and the last thing that I want to see is non-residents buying licenses over the counter. The drawing system that they have is great (Even if you only get drawn every third year), it’s worth it. An increase in non-resident license quota’s will only ruin a great State for Hunting.

I took my wife for her first trip to Red earlier this year. We stayed with Alpine Fish House rentals. They have all brand new houses with portable toilets in each. This was first class for Red Lake from my previous experiences.

The cost for the sleeper was $40.00 per person with a $100.00 minimum. Each house sleeps 3 people. The eyes ranged from 8″ to 21″. My wife had 3-21″ers.

Even though I would love to see the Vikings win, we only beat the Slackers! Once again the Viking fans are getting sucked into thinking that the Vikings are good? The’re not. They whipped up on a terrible slacker team. Favre had a typical game only his receivers didn’t catch the ball, the defenders did. He needs to get back on the drugs and alcohol!

I believe that the Vikings are 1 tenth of one percent better than the slackers. I said it before and I’ll say it again. The winner of last weeks game is really a looser.
