Pump it 2 years from date of installation and three years there after. Garbage disposal (bad), pump more often. More people using water (young females, pump more often). Septic tank separates float and setting stuff out so only liquid portion goes to drain field. Bacteria does not digest everything and solids build up on bottom and you do not want them going into the drain field. 35 years as a county septic inspector, blah, blah. Maintain them, cheap insurance>
Have a ball on the 3 point. I raise and lower these trailers. Seen rv and boat dealers using 3 point but have been wondering about that. Probably have to look at those pins or replace for 10 dollars. 3 point ???
Looks like the batteries are staying out in the shed fully charged, topped off and left hook up to the trickle charger. Thanks for the great input everyone and stay safe.
What most people do not think about is the higher the hp the deeper the disturbance to the water column and if disturance reaches the bottom nutrient in the sediments are put back into suspension for plants, etc and therefore green lakes. Think about that next time when you see a large hp motor on the lake, especially shallow lakes.
They will quite down as summer goes on unless threatened. Will not pull in more until fall and then they will leave.
About 3 years old. Might be G1 if there was such a thing. No bluetooth link.
I have a 2010 175 Navigator sport with 115 Yamaha. It does alright. Sure with full load (3 guys, kicker and live well full of water and wind/waves) out on Lake Michigan it might take a little while to get up on plane but usually in those conditions who is planing anyways !!! Seems to have enough torque. 150 would be nice but so would a 70K ranger with a 250!!!
Hmm ? Guy from New York who left when things were getting bad. Seven days before you start seeing symptoms. At five days is when you are shedding the most viruses. I hope he stays at the trailer by himself for 14 days. People really need to think about what they are doing. Seen pictures of parking lot full of people at High Cliff State Park on Lake Winnebago. No brainer there. We are all in this together. The greatest generation stood up for cause, we must follow their example !!!
So I will take that. I am in Durand. When can I come and get it. Thanks !
Please read the “Purpose” of that order very carefully. We really need to slow down on these matters and use common sense. The way we are heading everyone is going to be fighting over “EXECUTIVE ORDERS” which have limited authority. Please look at that order and read very carefully. What does it really say ??
Hi: If your well is that deep and you have a conventional septic system that is somewhat modern and no water in the basement issues or sump pumps you should not have shallow groundwater. Make sure you bury the horse downstream (gradient) from your well. Some county land conservation/zoning offices have web sites with groundwater data but really varies and is more general. Really just dig the hole as far from a well as possible and down gradient from the well you should be good. This time of year if you do not have water running the hole you do not have high groundwater. I inspected septic systems and ran a county land management office in WI and took care of this stuff for 30 plus years so good luck and it’s not really that big of deal. Guys use to bury dead cows all time.
Life is short, give him the antler and move on and try to make the world a better place and set a good example. Who cares about a antler in the long run. How we treat people and how we are remember in the long run is what makes a difference !!
Hi: For smallmouth and perch take Bayshore Drive about 6 to 7 miles to the north to a county park by a quarry (forgot the name of the park). Never fished there but always bike out that way and talk to the retired guys in lawn chairs fishing from the breaker wall. Some days they kill the big small mouths. Mostly fish slip bobbers with live bait. Another place is in Potawatomi State park off the beach right straight ahead at the second “T” in the park road. Good luck !
Merry Christmas to all and hope you enjoy the day with your family and friends and lets all try to make the world a better place. Have a good one !
Got the thermal in January last year and love it. No flapping in the wind, stayes dry inside and holds the heat great. Friends are looking to upgrade after using a thermal. No question in my mind, thermal if you want to stay out there in the wind and major cold.
Thanks for that post, we will miss that generation, good common sense for all that generation went through !
Just got back from using this landing, not only did it work out great for me I had assistance in lauching from a fellow IDOer. Since I was alone he parked my truck for me and gave me my keys and I was off for a limit of saugers in 2 hours. Not only Minnesota nice but also IDO nice. Thanks guys for your efforts !!
Sorry to hear thank, lost my lab on Superbowl Sunday this year after 13 years. They will always be you I figure in one way or another. Take care !
Depends upon where your going. I am in Durand and it is going to crest Sunday night/Monday morning at @15′ which is about the 6th highest flood on record. Eau Claire is going to crest earlier. Go to http://water.weather.gov/ahps2/index.php?wfo=mpx. for the latest from the weather service.
Hi: Check out this link, http://semaaarochestermn.org/. Hopefully this agency can help. Good luck !
Hey: I would strongly recommend you do not enter a septic tank to clean roots. Hydrogen sulfide accumulates in the tank and is deadly. Every couple of years someone seems to die around here from entering those tanks and I would really hate to see it be someone on IDO from advice given.
Smart pumpers will enter tanks after the tank is pumped and vented and the proper equipment is used and yes I do know pumper and plumber (1) who enter tanks without the proper equipment but we all know people like that.
Both my brother and I are registered sanitarians and have been in this business for more that 50 years combined and we had the same proplem up in north Wisconsin at our cabin and handled it by digging down to the manhole cover and rings on the inlet side where the roots were entering from, removed the roots on the outside of the tanks/rings, seal the joints (they make a rubber gasket to seal these rings now) and you can tar the lower joint, removed roots out of baffel area through manhole cover on top of the tank (one may have a riser on it and the other is buried)
which in most states is located over the inlet and outlet baffels and removed any trees within about 20 feet depending upon soil types.
Hard to do this this time of year however. Remember just by removing the roots inside they will be back shortly. You have to seal joints where they enter and really only from the outside. Good luck !
