(Rapala days coupon), it expires June 30th. I get the Outdoor News and the add has been in there for awhile. I’ve used quite a few already.. It’s a good deal when you go through lots of cranks every year.. I believe it’s a Gander Mtn. deal?? But don’t quote me on that..

How does that bell sinker rig work that Jared mentions?? I usually just pitch a jig and half crawler. I have never used this bell sinker rig before.

Use a linecounter it will help big time. Depends on your speed to, the faster you go the higher your crank rises.. In 20 feet of water at 2mph I figure 120 feet of lead, but you also have to factor in current speed if your on a river. Bascially its a deal where you just got play around to you find the pattern..

The aluminum trap is the best. Looks like an envelope when made correct.

5/16 and 1/2 ounce are what Found I needed to stay vertical in the boat, I wasnt running the boat mine is still in storage.. I also found out a few years ago if the bite was tough pinching the tail off resulted in more strikes.. Also Paddle Tails worked, and so did dragging, but the fish on those baits were smaller.

yeah who knows.. the croix was great down there last few winters and springs.. now its all small fish.. last year it was a mix of nice fish and small fish.. i think the fishing pressure over the last couple years took its toll. last winter and spring lots of fish were taken off that spot.

not bashing walleye tournaments.. i fish the flw..

I’m down there every day.. You have prolly saw me next to the channel.. The bite hasnt been as good as last winter.. Lots of smaller fish.. The bite is about 20 minutes before sunrise and before sunset.. Mostly saugers.. I think the PWT tournaments hurt the fishing, plus the heavy harvest last winter and spring.. I am marking lots of shad, and theres lots of dead ones around…. jiggin raps and plastics, are what im using.. the walk takes 10 minutes… You do have to watch the ice.. had to jump over a 3 foot crack last night under the bridge.. Ice varies from 5 inches by channel to over a foot in most spots…

Most likely kamloops or a stray laker or salmon.. Better make sure its still safe.. wind opens it up sometimes. There were guys out in front of it last week.
